Abstract

The invention relates to a casting mould (1) comprising a die cavity (10) and a casting mould body which dissipates heat and forms said die cavity (10). Said casting mould is used for casting parts of metal according to a mould casting method and contains a coating (20) in the form of a coating body on the surface forming the die cavity (10). Said coating has a thickness of less than 5 mm. The coating body is made of a skeleton-shaped, highly porous solid body made of a heat-proof material exhibiting more than 50 % porosity and a thermal conductivity k to k < 1 W/mK.
