Abstract

It is physically and mentally hard to examine a diseased part by comparing a number of images with each other in order to diagnose the diseased part with reference to medical tomography images such as CT images. An image reading unit (1) reads a 1st image and a 2nd image. A noticeable part determining/correcting unit (2) determines a noticeable part of the 1st image. A matching process unit calculates the matching between the 1st image and the 2nd image. A corresponding part specifying unit (4) specifies a part of the 2nd image corresponding to the noticeable part of the 1st image in accordance with the result of the matching and the noticeable part of the 1st image. Corresponding parts determined successively are displayed as a quasl three-dimensional shape.
