Abstract

Systems, components, and methods relating to substerranean containment barriers (500). Laterally adjacent tubular casings (400) having made interlock structures (402A) and multiple female interlock structures defining recesses (402B) for receiving a male interlock structure (402A) are used to create subterranean barriers (500) for containing and treating buried waste and its effluents. The multiple female interlock structures (402B) enable the barriers (500) to be varied around subsurface objects and to form barrier sidewalls. The barrier (500) may be used for treating and monitoring a zone of interest (100).
