Abstract

The invention relates to a loader comprising a movable undercarriage (1), a boom (2) and a bucket (4) connected to the boom. The loader further comprises a bucket control unit (6) to which location information on the position of the boom and the bucket is delivered from detectors (7, 8). The loader further comprises at least one reader (9a, 9b; 14, 17) enabling reference markings (10, 13, 16, 18) provided on a tunnel wall to be read, the position of the bucket being adjusted on the basis of height information supplied by said reference markings such that during loading, the tunnel floor (12) is formed at a planned height level.
