Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft die Verwendung von HIPK-Kinasen, insbesondere von HIPK2-Kinasen, sowie der dafür kodierenden Nukleinsäuresequenzen zur Beeinflussung der Zellteilung und Zellproliferation, insbesondere die Verwendung in Verfahren zur Diagnose oder Behandlung von Krankheiten, die mit anomaler oder übermäßiger Zellproliferation assoziiert sind, z.B. von Tumorerkrankungen. Die Erfindung betrifft auch die Verwendung von HIPK-Kinasen, insbesondere von HIPK2-Kinase, sowie der dafür kodierenden Nukleinsäuresequenzen und spezifischen Bindungspartnern dafür zur Identifizierung und/oder Herstellung von Substanzen, welche die Zellteilung oder das Zellwachstum hemmen, stimulieren oder auf ander Weise beeinflussen können. Die Erfindung betrifft insbesondere eine human HIPK2-Kinase und Derivate und Fragmente davon, die dafür kodierenden Nukleinsäuresequenzen sowie Antikörper und andere spezifische Bindungspartner für die humane HIPK2-Kinase und die dafür kodierende Nukleinsäuresequenz.
