Abstract

L'invention concerne un système et un procédé permettant de gérer des communications entre un client et un fournisseur de contenus communiquant dans un environnement de réseau distribué, tel que l'Internet. Le procédé consiste, dans un premier temps, à recevoir une réponse relative à un service provenant du fournisseur de contenus. Cette réponse est ensuite modifiée de manière à présenter une fonctionnalité supplémentaire, telle que des informations de suivi ou l'ouverture d'un canal de communication avec une troisième partie, telle qu'un représentant du service clientèle, et transmise au client. Le procédé peut également comprendre un équilibrage de charge entre une pluralité de serveurs du fournisseur de contenus. De manière générale, la réponse relative à un service répond à une requête de service précédante émanant du client. Si tel est le cas, la requête de service est enregistrée, habituellement par mise en mémoire cache de l'en-tête TCP de la requête de service avant la transmission ou le routage vers fournisseur de contenus. Des requêtes de service sont détectées par surveillance de l'environnement de réseau distribué aux fins d'interception de message adressé au fournisseur de contenus. Le contenu de la requête de service peut être mis en oeuvre afin de déterminer le routage de la requête de service.
