Abstract

La présente invention concerne un échangeur thermique à débit normal (NFHX) (120) qui utilise un fluide caloporteur et qui possède une capacité de transfert de flux thermique élevée. Ce NFHX comprend un noyau (130) qui possède une surface (128) de transfert thermique, une longueur et une largeur. Un plénum (124) d'entrée est situé à une extrémité de la longueur et un plénum (126) de sortie est situé à l'extrémité opposée de cette longueur. Une pluralité de collecteurs (140) d'entrée se situent sur la longueur du noyau et une pluralité de collecteurs (142) de sortie se situent sur la longueur du noyau et en alternance avec les collecteurs d'entrée à travers la largeur de ce noyau. Une ailette (154) d'échangeur thermique est généralement située entre chaque paire de canaux d'interconnexion en contiguïté immédiate. Dans un mode de réalisation de l'invention, le noyau comprend une pluralité de paires de plaques (132), chacune de ces paires comprenant une plaque (136) d'échangeur thermique et une plaque (138) de séparation.
