Abstract
In the archery, the manner of aiming is provided by displaying the nock-set (31) above the arrow (3) in the centre of the mirror with aiming mark (21) at the moment of mutual mergence of the pin (51) and the fire target. The subject-manner of this equipment for the above mentioned manner realization is based on the fact, that in the body (1) and the body cover (14) is situated the adjustment screw (8) by turning of which, with the help of the moving nut (6) and cross support (4), the height and side displacement of the pin (51) are provided simultaneoously according to the demanded position for the given target distance.
Description
ARCHERY SIGHTING DEVICE
Technical field
The aiming manner and equipment for this manner realization to increase the accuracy of (shooting) fire and it belongs to the group of the optical aiming equipments for weapons.
Background Art
Nowadays used sights are gripped to the bowstring axle in the height of the level of the archer's eye and on the bow there are several pins for the height of the bow body adjustment for given target distance. The peep-sight situated on the bowstring is used for aiming the pins in case of the target aiming at the moment of bowstring tension.
Disadvantage of this manner consists in reduced visibility towards the target and relatively high spread of accuracy at the aiming. It is not very comfortable to look through the narrow peep-sight situated in a short distance from the archer's eye. This may influence negatively the archer's experience from his shooting because it overlaps the part of the target. This manner of aiming is not suitable for shooting under the reduced visibility.
In spite of the above mentioned disadvantages of nowadays used manners of aiming, the archer is responsible for the perfect vertical position of the bow, too. This vertical position of the bow considerably influences the shooting (fire) accuracy. For earning the perfect vertical position of the bow, the archers use the glass level situated on the bow nowadays. They have to follow the glass level at shooting (fire) at the same time.
Disclosure of Invention
Listed disadvantages of the actual state are considerably removed by the manner of aiming especially in the field of the archery, the subject-matter of which consists in fact that the arrow position aimed onto the target is stated by merging of the pin into the target at simultaneous displaying the nock-set with the aiming mark in the centre of the mirror.
Further the subject-matter of the solution consists in fact that the equipment for aiming, especially in the field of the archery, is provided by the body with scale, spring detent, body lower frame on which the mirror with aiming mark is situated, cross support and pin body and is constructed so that the pin is adjustable to height and side simultaneously by the moving nut and cross support with the help of the adjusting screw.
The advantages of the manner of aiming especially in the field of the archery and the equipment for this manner realization consist in the accurate position of the arrow aimed onto the target which is stated by the position of pin which merges into the target and the position of the arrow's end is stated by the nock-set displayed in the middle of the aiming mark of the mirror situated on the aiming equipment (sight).
Due to the fact that, in this case of aiming, the archer's eye is out of the level of the fire line, which is stated by the tensioned bowstring and arrow axle, the pin at its adjustment to height towards the target, must be simultaneously shifted to side, too. This can be earned by adjusting screw and by pin adjustment mechanism, which provides for given height the actual side position.
Relation between the height displacement and the side one is depended on the archer's eye distance from the level of the fire line and it is adjustable.
Every position of the adjustment screw and it means also the position of the pin is provided by arresting which can be shown-off for chosen fire distance by deepening the slot after repeated shooting from the bow.
The advantage of the subject-matter manner of aiming and equipment for this manner realization consists in the high-number repeated accuracy of shooting while the personal influences of the archer and unfavourable influences of surrounding are eliminated at most. By lighting the critical points like the pin, aiming mark in the mirror and nock-set, it is possible to realize shooting also under the conditions of reduced visibility or at night.
Review of Figures
In Figure 1, the geometry of aiming onto the target in different distances on horizontal level is shown. The nearest target is situated in the point A, the furthest is situated in the point C. In Figure 2, the geometry of aiming on the vertical level is shown.
In Figure 3, the aiming equipment (sight) is shown from the archer's view. In Figure 4 the side view of the aiming equipment is shown. In this Figure you can clearly see the grip holes for gripping on the bow.
In Figure 5, the rear view of the aiming equipment (sight) is shown. It is clearly shown there, where the cross support guide is situated. In Figure 6, the detail connection of the pin body with moving nut and cross support with adjustment screw is shown.
Best Mode of Carrying out the Invention
The manner of aiming according to this invention is shown in Figures 1 and 2. In Figure 1, there is shown aiming geometry in horizontal level where the archer' s eye 102 is out of level of fire line 101 and it means out of arrow's axle 3. Different positions of the pins on horizontal levels a^ b± c± to the level of fire line 101 are depended on the target' s distances Aj j^ C as follows: if the target is farer from the archer's line, the side shifting of the pin towards the level of fire line 101 shall be larger. The accuracy of target-practice shall be provided so that the display of the nock-set 31 above the arrow 3 and the centre of aiming mark 22 shall merge into one in the mirror 21 and at the same time the pin shall be aimed onto the target.
In Figure 2, there is a geometry of aiming on vertical level where the different distances of the targets A, B, C and positions of pins a , b , c related to them are shown. It means, the farer target for example in case of the target C, the pin is positioned to lower and more shifted left position.
The sights consisting of the body the body lower frame 2 are shown in Figures 3, 4, 5 and 6. In the body 1 and on its cover 14 the adjustment screw 8 for simultaneous height and side adjusting of the pin 51 is installed.
Simultaneous side and height adjustments of the pin 51 are provided by moving nut 6 with the help of the adjusting screw 8 and the cross support 4 where is the pin body 5 situated and locked by the lock-nut 52.
The body 1 of the sight for adjusting the distance of the level of fire consists of scale 12 for pin adjustment 5 into the demanded height.
Interconnection of single items which provide side and height displacement of the pin 5_1 clearly follows from the Figure 6, where the moving nut 6 consists of spring detent 61 which arrests the position of the pin 51 for assumed distance of fire by its locking into the grooving scale J-2 of the body I.
The body is fitted to the bow frame by the grip holes 13.
The body lower frame 2 consists of the mirror 21 with the aiming mark 22, The mirror 21 is situated on the elastic base 23 due to which it is possible to adjust it with the help of four adjustment screws 24 into the correct position according to needs of the archer.
The relation between the height displacement of the pin and side shifting is adjusted by the cross support guide J, which is gripped to rear guard H and is locked by the lock screw 2 in adjusting chase 72.
The body lower frame 2 towards the body 1 can be displaced according to the needs with the help of dovetail 25 and can be locked by the screw 26.
Industrial Applicability
The aiming manner and the equipment for this manner realization especially for the field of archery can be utilized in the area of the sporting and hunting archery.
