Abstract

A method of linearising the output signal of a component e.g. power amplifier (1) having an input signal comprising; taking an initial estimated representation of the pre-distortion inverse curve (7), manipulating said representation; pre-distorting said input signal by applying values of said representation to the input signal (6); determning the error (3) in terms of linearity between the input signal and the output signal; and repeating previous steps such that the error is minimised.
