If the drum is then rotated about its axis in a clockwise direction as indicated by the arrow 58 in Figure 6, the level of the aperture 54 will eventually descend below the level of the water in the outer chamber 46 to allow water to drain from the chamber 46 via the conduit 56.
  • the position of the float valve within the inner chamber 38, and thus the maximum level to which the outer chamber 46 will fill on each rotation of the drum, is preferably chosen such that, through a small angular range during the rotation of the drum, the levels of both of the apertures 42 and 54 will lie above the level of the water in the outer chamber 46 (thereby isolating a body of water within that chamber) .
  • the various apparatus thus described provide convenient means for accumulating and subsequently dispensing an accurate volume of fluid, wherein the volume of fluid dispensed is substantially unaffected by variations in the rates of flow of fluid into and out of the apparatus.

Abstract

L'invention porte sur une appareil comportant des première et deuxième chambres adjacentes (4, 6) communiquant par une ouverture de liaison (14) située au niveau de leur interface, et des éléments (10) destinés à remplir la première chambre avec un liquide à un niveau prédéterminé, la deuxième chambre (6) étant fixée rotative autour d'un axe horizontal A afin d'accumuler et ensuite distribuer un volume de liquide précis. Ledit volume distribué demeure presque insensible aux variations des débits du liquide qui entre dans l'appareil et en sorte.
