Abstract

A presentation layer is provided that makes application development and customization easier and more efficient by reducing the amount of specialized code written for a specific application. A set of standard display objects is offered to the application developer. Customization parameters (i.e., look and feel) are specified in filter and configuration files using a defined XML specification. The presentation layer handles the mapping of business object values into and out of (User Interface) UI elements using the configuration and filter files.
