Abstract

La présente invention concerne un système servant à acheminer des trains de données à vitesse élevée par l'intermédiaire d'une pluralité de paires de cuivre torsadées non blindées à largeur de bande relativement faible, à l'intérieur d'une installation de boucle locale ou dans tout environnement présentant une pluralité de lignes de cuivre, tel que sur des campus, à l'intérieur de bâtiments de grande taille, etc. Les paires de cuivre torsadées sont converties, d'une pluralité de liens à faible largeur de bande et fiabilité limitée, en un canal de communication longue distance à fiabilité élevée et largeur de bande très importante, faisant intervenir les technologies de transmission xDSL optimisées par l'intermédiaire de la pluralité de paires de cuivre. Un processeur de données d'émission réalise le cryptage, le codage FEC et l'entrelacement des données avant leur séparation et leur diffusion vers la pluralité d'éléments modem pour permettre leur transmission via l'installation de boucle locale, soit de manière bidirectionnelle, soit de manière unidirectionnelle. Du côté réception, les trains de données individuels sont collectés et regroupés, et un processeur de données de réception réalise le décryptage, le décodage FEC et le désentrelacement, permettant d'obtenir le train de données à vitesse élevée émis à l'origine. Le système comprend également des moyens permettant d'augmenter la performance des éléments modem xDSL, comprenant l'annulation de la diaphonie, la régulation de la puissance et de la DSP, la régulation du débit de données, et l'acheminement optimal des signaux émis à l'intérieur d'éléments de liaison de paires torsadées. Des éléments de réseau disposés à distance de l'autre côté de la pluralité de paires de cuivre, sont alimentés en énergie électrique. De plus, le système permet éventuellement le multiplexage d'une pluralité de services de téléphonie à faible largeur de bande via le lien à vitesse élevée au moyen de technique TDM ou FDM.
