Abstract

The device for time measuring, with two-faced visualization and transparent dial-plate (1, 2), shows the right-hand rotation of the components (5, 6, 7, 8) on the side relating to an observer which becomes left-handed when it is looked at from the opposite side.

Description

A DEVICE FOR TIME MEASURING WITH TWO-FACED VISUALIZATION AND TRANSPARENT DIAL-PLATE
The present invention concerns a device for time measuring, with two-faced visualization and transparent dial-plate, in which the right-hand rotation of the components on the side relating to an observer becomes left-handed when it is looked at from the opposite side.
The device according to the present invention solves a functionality need which at present has not even been considered with the existing watches: it consists in two transparent opposed dial-plates with inverted numeral sequences which act as carrying structure and contain two transparent disks onto which the hour, minute and second hands are arranged; the moving of said hands is deteπnined by the dragging of the respective disks and on the external edges thereof grooves are obtained for friction with driving wheels operated by timed moving means.
The advantages of the device according to the present invention are considerable: - the possibility of two-faced visualization;
- extreme volumetric compactness in a minumum encumbrance thickness of the dial-plates and of the flanked disks;
- a considerable aesthetic impact supplied by all transparent components. The present invention will be described more in detail hereinbelow relating to the enclosed drawings in which an embodiment is shown. Figure 1 shows an axonometric view of a device for time measuring with two-faced visualization and transparent dial-plate.
Figure 2 shows an exploded axonometric view of the components of the device according to the present invention. Figure 3 shows a lateral view.
The enclosed '• figures show a device for time measuring with two-faced visualization and transparent dial-plate, consisting of:
- two opposed transparent dial-plates 1, 2 having the function of a carrying structure, onto which inverted numeral sequences 3, 4 are carried;
- two transparent disks 5, 6, onto which the respective hour hand 7 and minute hand 8 are carried and onto the edge whereof grooves for the movement are obtained;
- two driving wheels 9, 10 which get inserted into said grooves of said disks 5, 6 so as to determine the friction dragging thereof by means of two timed rotation means 11 and 12 and at different speeds, corresponding to the rotation of said two disks, wherein said means are of the kind of continuous rotation motors and stepper motors so that, due to the transparency of all components, the visualization of the overlapping of the disks results in being two-faced;
- pins 13, 14 for supporting the compact.
In a more complex variant of the device according to the present invention, the same provides the presence of a third disk with a second hand with the respective timed moving means.
The device according to the present invention is further provided with magnetic sensors, of the kind with Hall effect, for the synclironsm of the hands at each passing onto the "12" or "0", while on the disks with the hands the magnet is arranged an the magnetic switches inside the dial-plates.

Claims

1. A device for time measuring with two-faced visualization and transparent dial-plate, characterized in:
- two opposed transparent dial-plates (1, 2) having the function of a carrying structure, onto which inverted numeral sequences (3, 4) are carried;
- two transparent disks (5, 6), onto which the respective hour hand (7) and minute hand (8) are carried and onto the edge whereof grooves for the movement are obtained; - two driving wheels (9, 10) which get inserted into said grooves of said disks (5, 6) so as to determine the friction dragging thereof by means of two timed rotation means (1 1) and (12) and at different speeds, corresponding to the rotation of said two disks, wherein said means are of the kind of continuous rotation motors and stepper motors so that, due to the transparency of all components, the visualization of the overlapping of the disks results in being two-faced;
- pins (13, 14) for supporting the compact.
2. A device according to claim 1 , characterized in a third disk with the second hand and with the respective timed moving means.
3. A device according to claim 1, characterized in magnetic sensors of the kind with a Hall effect, for the synchronism of the hands on each passing onto the "12" or the "0", while the magnet is arranged on the disks of the hands and the magnetic switches inside the dial-plates.
