Abstract

Procédé servant à authentifier une personne ou un dispositif et consistant à mémoriser une pluralité de formules dans une carte à puce (1) et dans un ordinateur central (6). Un nombre aléatoire est généré au niveau de l'ordinateur central (6) et identifie une desdites formules. Ce nombre aléatoire est ensuite envoyé à la carte à puce. Un résultat est calculé au niveau de cette carte à puce (1) au moyen d'au moins la formule identifiée par le nombre aléatoire reçu. Le calcul du résultat est envoyé à l'ordinateur central (6). La personne ou le dispositif sont authentifiés au niveau de l'ordinateur central (6) au moyen de la comparaison du résultat reçu et d'un résultat calculé dans l'ordinateur central (6) au moyen dudit nombre aléatoire et des formules mémorisées dans cet ordinateur central.
