Abstract

This invention relates to a communication system enabling data and dynamic images to be transmitted by using power lines, particularly a super-highway power line communication system and a super-highway power line communication method enabling all power lines in the range of 5V or higher to be used. Also this invention is to provide a communication system enabling the power line communication method to be used together with the current commnication method for using the optical cable telephone line for the Internet communication mode as a dedicated private line. Further, this invention is to provide a power line communication program, a modem configuration system and a communication method enabling the Internet communication by using the power line in the current Internet communication ISP (server). The super-highway power line communication system according to this invention comprises a communication modem section (where a PCI-type modem slot is installed), a detection software system, a hardware correction program and a hardware drive program (ISP connection program).

Description

Communication System and Communication Method
using Power Lines
Technical Field
This invention relates to a communication system enabling data and dynamic images to be transmitted by using power lines, particularly a superhighway power line communication system and a super-highway power line communication method enabling all power lines in the range of 5 V or higher to be used.
Background Art
The super-highway power line communication system according to this invention comprises a communication modem section (where a PCI-type modem slot is installed) enabling the power line communication to be operated by using the drive power for a personal computer (hereinafter referred to as "PC") of a communication user to be incoming for the super-highway communication as a dedicated private circuit for the power line communication, a detection system that can detect any fault symptom in the power line during the power line communication through a transformer, etc., a hardware correction program that can correct any abnormal variation and a hardware drive program enabling the superhighway power line communication to be operated. Also, the said communication system is of a communication method for using a dedicated private circuit on the part of a host for the power line communication, and further using LAN, a modem, an optical cable and a coaxial cable, which are dedicated private circuits, as a dedicated communication line on the part of a guest and an ISP (SUB), and when the power line communication is operated, communication is available irrespective of any communication distance.
The conventional super-highway communication system is described by reference to Figure 1 and 2.
Figure 1 is a block diagram illustrating the conventional power line remote meter reading system. The conventional power line remote meter reading system comprises a remote meter reading control device (72) connected to a substation (71) through a power line (70), a substation controlling unit (74) for converting the power into communication signals through a power line modem (73) according to the remote meter reading control signals, a line coupling unit (76) for transmitting communication signals which the power is converted into by the power line modem (73) to the remote meter reader by using a high-tension line (75) and a user's meter reading control system (79) for separating only communication signals transmitted through the high-tension line (75) from the said line coupling unit (76) to the power line or processing communication signals uniformly through a low voltage distribution power line (78). Also, the user meter reading control system (79) comprises a signal coupling unit (77), a line coupling unit (80) for inputting or outputting data communication through the low voltage distribution power line (78), a power line modem (81) for converting communication signals inputted or outputted by the said line coupling unit (80) into a given form of signals, a central controlling unit (82) for controlling functions of the said power line modem (81) and functions of the low voltage distribution power line (78) of the user's meter reading system and a wattmeter (83) for transmitting the wattage measurement data according to the remote meter reading control signals. Next, constitution of another prior art is described by reference to Figure 2.
As illustrated in Figure 2, the communication system comprises a power line communication transmitting unit (34) for transmitting data communication signals by coupling an optical cable and a coaxial cable installed for high speed data communication through a dedicated private line network (31) and the LAN communication dedicated to telephone and communication with a power line (33) incoming to a user's house and a power line modem (49) of the user for operating communication at any frequency of 10kHz to 450 kHz by using the frequency division system with it being connected to the said line network (31) dedicated to high speed communication. A signal repeater (36) for relaying data communication signals by filtering and amplifying them is connected between the said power line (33) and the power line modem as installed in each user's house. The said signal, repeater (36) may be installed at a pole as erected around the user's house, and the power line (33) is connected to a transformer mounted on a pole (such connection not shown in Figure 2). Also, the conventional super-highway communication system as illustrated in Figure 2 comprises a power line communication transmitting unit (34) and a power line modem (38) for transmitting signals to the power line (31) and processing data signals inputted or outputted through the power line (31) with it being connected between a signal coupling unit (37) and the power line (31). The power line modem comprises an input filter (39) for filtering data signals inputted from the power line to a given frequency of 10kHz to 450kHz, a FM modem (40) for modulating the inputted frequency signals, a power line communication amplifying unit (41) for amplifying the inputted signals from the FM modem (40) and emitting the amplified signals to the power line and a signal separation filter for blocking any input or output of the modulated data signals in both directions of the power line communication amplifying unit (41).
The prior art as described above by reference to Figure 1 and 2 has the following problems and demerits. 1. Requirements for the power line communication in the above described prior art are to use the power line to the incoming line within the user's house because any data frequency cannot pass through the transformer directly, install the dedicated private line as long as it is necessary for communication and further install many accessories, such as the line coupling unit, the input filter, the power line communication amplifying unit, the FM modem, the low pass filter, the pre- bridge power amplifier and the comparison unit. Due to these requirements, it costs so much to install them, and therefore, the manufacturing cost gets to be increased.
2. Also, since the said accessories are additionally installed, any generated noise gets to be increased and therefore, the communication speed gets to be lower. Furthermore, long distance communication gets to be unavailable.
Disclosure of Invention
This invention is to provide a super-highway communication system enabling the super-highway communication to be operated, solving the said problems incidental to constitution of the prior art.
This invention is to provide the super-highway communication system and the super-highway communication method using the power line network enabling the power line super-highway communication to be operated by installing a hardware program in the PC and further a PCI mode built-in type modem in the PC. Also, this invention is to provide the power line communication system for transmitting all communication data using the household power 110V to the high- tension current of 32kV and further transmitting data and dynamic images without any separate accessories, such as the line coupling unit, the input filter, the power line communication amplifying unit, the FM modem and the low pass filter, for meeting the requirements for detouring the transformer.
Further, this invention is to provide the power line communication system enabling scores of users to transmit data and communicate simultaneously under the no-load condition when the super-highway communication of data and dynamic images is available through the power line communication.
The power line communication system according to this invention programs a software system for removing noise and the modem in order to transmit data secondarily after removing any noise from the power line during data transmission, having the transformer comprise a send/receive oscillating circuit, a resonance system and a detection circuit in the hardware system. Meanwhile, the hardware system distinguishes and detects whether data signals pass through the transformer or not (variation value of the frequency), and further, by a hardware correction program, it measures any wattage, any voltage, any disconnection of line and any variation value of the frequency, detects the transformer's capacity, any problem with it, the transformer yield, a resonance value of the transformer and any trouble that has taken place in the resonance circuit, and transmits main generated signals of the hardware and the software to the detection circuit system of the hardware. Then, it complements and modifies such signals and thereby, it complements such signals to provide the condition for operating the secondary power line communication. The power line communication system according to this invention comprises as above described so that the secondary power line communication may be operated. Also, this invention is to provide the power line communication system comprising a communication program and a modem for operating the power line super-highway Internet communication, enabling communication to be operated at the used power of 4.5V (used current for communication) to 32kV, enabling all communication data to be transmitted through the DC power line and enabling communication to be operated with the power line being connected to the general ISP equipment by coupling the power line with the LAN communication and the modem communication as generally used.
Meanwhile, the conventional power line communication system requires separate accessories, such as the power line communication amplifying unit, the FM modem, the low pass filter, the frequency filter and the like, but the power line communication system according to this invention has a merit that it enables data and dynamic images to be transmitted without such separate accessories.
The power line communication system according to this invention removes any noise from the power line during data transmission and filters the frequency. Then, it makes the power line communication program be of software by making data on the filtered frequency. Therefore, it enables the power line communication to be operated by removing noise and filtering the frequency by such program.
In the said system, the communication program converts any noise generated as far as the 1st pole-mounted transformer into a numeric value equivalent thereto. Thereby, the said system identifies and controls noise on the basis of its arithmetic-logical processing technology and further controls the program so that noise may not go beyond the pre-deter ined example value. By controlling the program as above described, any generated noise is corrected and controlled for removal of noise.
Also, in the said system, the filtering processing technology is to transmit the frequency (software program) by the forced sending method at the time of data transmission and further use the program amplifying unit for controlling it, and this technology is of the super-highway power line communication program enabling the power line communication to be operated by programming the conventional conditions for electronic devices.
Also, the program for driving the power line communication system according to this invention comprises the send/receive oscillating circuit (4), the resonance system (12) and the detection circuit (2). Meanwhile, the said program systemizes wattage measurement (9), voltage measurement (10), measurement (13) of variation of the frequency by the software correction program, a resonance value of the transformer under a specific program and any trouble taking place in the resonance circuit (12) of the transformer, and further transmits main generated signals to the detection circuit system (7) to inform it of the trouble that has taken place in each system of the detection circuit in response to the trouble that has taken place in the modem section of the power line communication program. So, the program for driving the power line communication system according to this invention comprises the software program responding to any trouble that has taken place in the power line communication by informing as above described.
The prior art failed to enable any data signals to pass through the transformer, but in this invention, a system for making the frequency resonating in proportion to the load amount in the transformer is developed, and thus, this invention makes the frequency resonating in the resonance circuit section of the transformer at the 1st resonance frequency of 250,000, the 2nd resonance frequency of 350,000, the 3rd resonance frequency of 450,000 and the 4th resonance frequency of 550,000 (frequency load factor) per 0.15 second in the range of 250,000 to 550,000 in response to any impedance in the transformer and thereby, this invention converts the frequency in proportion to the power of the transformer so that it makes the frequency of the transformation unit under the program resonating proportionally. Thereby, this invention gets to enable the data signals to pass through the transformer.
Also, the region that the data signals pass trough the transformer can prevent the data frequency from being deformed because impedance of which the load amount is great is used in the 1st winding section and the 2nd winding section and further the frequency is transmitted by using it as a base of the 1st frequency resonance.
Meanwhile, as described above, this invention is to solve the problems incidental to the prior art and further enable the power line communication to be operated by using the power line, the intermediary medium between the user's PC
(1) and the user's PC (3) as a communication cable for operating the superhighway communication and further using the power line operated in the ISP equipment connected to the communication coaxial cable and the optical cable, which are connected to the user's PC (3), as a communication connector.
Also, this invention is to filter other frequency than the user's band frequency in all communication instruments and further advance the technology for removing any generated noise. This invention is to operate the power line and the Internet communication since it uses the noise generated in the communication instrument as an important specific frequency for communication.
Further, this invention can be shared in the said power line communication under all conditions of the current ISP's web server.
The power line communication can be operated in the forced calling mode by using IP of the power line communication program under all conditions to be required for communication of the server. Also, the said communication method is of the power line communication program for driving forcedly the same program configuration in the host as the installation items of PC (1) where the power line communication program is installed, using the main power multi-cell switch of the web server (ISP) (6) as an input section and interoperating data by accessing to a part of the central processing unit of the web server (ISP) (6).
Also, the communication configuration of the PC of the power line communication user (1) for operating the power line communication is to install the power line communication program and the communication modem, use the power line as the communication line, that is to say, use the incoming power line of PC as the communication line and use the incoming power line of the web server as the communication line like the case with the user's PC when the web server (ISP) (6) is connected.
Attention should be paid to the point that this invention μses the method for operating the power line Internet communication and further uses the power line as the communication line.
The power line communication system according to this invention enables communication to be operated as far as the connecting section of the coaxial cable, and the said communication system is built up by making data on such communication operation. The power line communication system according to this invention is a system enabling 180,000 to 250,000 users to access to it at the same time, and the technical configuration of this invention is of the program for driving the PC and the modem enabling the power line communication to be operated.
Also, this invention enables any trouble in the transformation unit, which gets to be a problem in the power line communication, to be detected by the software system and further it can also prevent data from being lost or damaged.
Therefore, this invention provides the power line communication system, which has maximized reliability and quality of communication, to users.
Merits of this invention get to be more obvious through the following detailed description of this invention by reference to the attached drawings.

Description of the preferred Embodiment
In Figure 3 and 4, the super-highway communication system according to this invention comprises the power line modem enabling the power line superhighway communication to be operated by connecting the incoming power line leading to the power line (2) of the electric outlet distributed to the user's modem built-in PC (1, 4) belonging to the transmission circuit network dedicated to the power line super-highway communication to the modem of the data system embedded (PCI) type in PC (1, 4) and connecting the power line modem of the user's PC (1, 4) to the incoming power line leading to the power line (2).
The said power line super-highway communication PC (1, 4) comprises a hardware-centered program, and such system comprises the correction program (5),- wattage measurement (6), voltage measurement (7), the transformer yield (8), measurement of the frequency resonance (9) and measurement of variation of the frequency (10).
Also, the modem software of the system comprises a main power circuit section (13), a clock generation circuit (14), a timing circuit (15), an oscillation circuit for sending (16), a sending amplifier (17), a send/receive unit (18, 19), an adder (20), a filter circuit (21), a detector circuit (22), a distance discrimination circuit (23), an alarm generation circuit (24) and a fault detection circuit (25).
Further, the power line communication system according to this invention comprises a circuit section having the platinum wiring for filtering and correcting the frequency.
And, when data signals are processed in the said power line communication
PC (1, 4), such items as the wattage and the voltage to be incoming to PC (1, 4), the required interoperability in the system, sharing of all users' PCs and the like can be set up through the correction program (5). Also, in case that tolerance of the incoming section is ±20V when any wattage is measured, any communication problem can be corrected by the correction program (5) in the power line communication system by connecting whether any trouble exists in excess current and proportional current in the power line to the program of the power line communication system. The said correction program comprises the same system as the system for voltage measurement (7) so that it protects the power line communication of PC (1, 4).
The power line communication system according to this invention comprises the power line transformer pass program. This program compares the set values of the correction program (5) with the set values of the system (5) for correcting the modulated signals of the frequency in the oscillation circuit (16) for sending data and the noise filter circuit (21) in the transformer yield and further emits data signals in the sine wave pulse form on the basis of the said comparison. Thereby, when the distance discrimination circuit section (23) emits the frequency, this program detects a position between a user and a receiver and a position of a sender and further it computes numerically the status of the data transmission frequency and the transformer yield of the transformation driving section by positions through the adder (20). Further, it compares and discriminates the computed numeric values through the correction program (5), and transmits data. When it fails to transmit data due to any trouble in the discrimination section, it checks the region of the new corresponding frequency for measurement (10) of variation of the frequency and measurement (9) of the frequency resonance, and then it identifies whether the transformer yield (8) passes through the transformer by conducting measurement (9) of the frequency resonance through the transformer driving system in the adder (20) to identify the modulated status of the frequency. At the same time, it modulates the frequency of the transformer to the transformer yield under the condition of magnetic sferics by making the transformer resonating at the virtual frequency of 250,000 to 350,000 in measurement (9) of the frequency resonance, and then it makes data frequency pass through the transformer.
Also, when the frequency resonates, the more the current gets to be intensified in the power line (2, 26, 27), the greater the magnetic field gets to be formed. The power line communication system according to this invention comprises a data communication method for transmitting the frequency to the magnetic field by the correction program (5), the adder (20) and the fault detection circuit (25) system and a method for using a line as formed by the power line cable so that data may be transmitted. And, the power line communication data system according to this invention changes the data transmission system to the following condition in case that any transmission fails to be made in communication since any problem has taken place in the power line coaxial cable as installed in an electric pole and the transformer yield (8). When data fails to be transmitted since any trouble, such as disconnection of a line, etc., has taken place in the coaxial cable of the power line (2, 26, 27) and the transformer yield (8), in case that any detection trouble takes place in wattage measurement (6), voltage measurement (7), the transformer yield (8), measurement (9) of the frequency resonance and measurement (10) of variation of the frequency through the correction program (5) so that the transformer yield (8) fails to be transmitted in communication from the fault detection circuit (25), the said fault detection circuit (25) system drives a trouble alarm in the alarm generation circuit (24), discriminates a position of the initial receiver in the fault detection circuit (25) and the distance discrimination (23) to change the line by the power line communication program. Thereby, the said system is automatically converted so as to transmit data.
Meanwhile, the conventional bridge power amplifier has used a switching amplifier and a linear amplifier. Wherein, the switching amplifier does not have any operation output resistance and any voltage loss in the saturation region or the cut-off region of the transistor, and the linear amplifier works in the active region of the transistor. Therefore, a general switching amplifier failing to make the output resistance 0 has been much used in the conventional bridge power amplifier.
However, since this invention uses the magnetic field of the power line communication and the power line coaxial cable simultaneously, it enables the power line communication to be operated in the current incoming section of all power lines irrespective of any distance thereof. When the power supply is suspended due to any trouble that has taken in the power line, this invention enables the power line communication to be operated by using any detour power line cable.
Next, actions of the power line communication system according to this invention are described on the basis of the said constitution of this invention.
The power line communication system according to this invention enables a user to use current programs of all websites on Internet communication by using the power line (2, 26, 27) and further, for example, the power line communication program embedded in the hardware system of PC (1, 4), and it also enables the dedicated private line to the power line communication to be distributed to the power line by connecting the power connector (low current 4V, 6V, 12V) of the power supply section of PC (1, 4) to the PCI type modem of the slot section in PC belonging to the software section.
The PC (1, 4) connection for the power line communication between one user and another user is made with the communication system being constituted under the same conditions between them. For example, the power line communication can be operated through the correction program (5) of the internal program by installing the hardware and the software in PC. The user identifies and corrects extensions under the specifications of the basic program for operation of the power line communication in the correction program (5), that is to say, specifications of transmitted data, synchronous, asynchronous, data frequency modulation system, operating mode, instruction buffer, modulation rate, response signal, line impedance, receiving signal, frequency tolerance, line connection system, signaling speed, external interface, transformer yield, resonance measurement, resonance number, frequency measurement, frequency resonance, wattage measurement, voltage measurement and the like, and the said conditions are identified through the correction program (5) in the system. The power line communication correction program detects any problem that has taken place under any condition out of detection in the fault detection circuit (25), and thereby, it can operate communication smoothly through the system. The said fault detection circuit (25), and the power line communication correction program (5) identifies and sets up specifications and characteristics of a general modem, and the oscillation circuit (16) for sending PC signals and any detected section gets to enable the sending frequency of the communication system, for example, the band frequency of 20 to 2100 Hz to be transmitted. The detection circuit section (22) enables a user to reserve any data transmission time through the error function of the transmitted data and the reserving function of the timing generation circuit (15) for the data accessing time and data transmission. The clock generation circuit (14) searches the file position of cluster in the hardware and identifies the copy position of the counter disk, and thereby, it preserves and transmits data to the detection circuit section (22) and the correction program (5) so that it enhances reliability of data.
Also, since the said power line program is configured on the basis of DOS and WINDOWS for the hardware and the software for the primary power line communication, the power line communication can be operated with DOS and WINDOWS being shared with all PCs of 386 class or higher.
This power line communication could be described as follows; the power line communication is to enable scores of users to share and transmit data simultaneously on any of the power lines (2, 26, 27) by FDM (Frequency Division Multiplexing), and it uses TCM (Treiis Code Modulation) and QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) as a modulation system. Further, it requires a band of 20 to 34 Hz when it sends data signals by the frequency iriodulation system, and it eliminates problems that have taken place in the magnetic field in the power line and the power line cable. Therefore, any data loss does not take place for the reason of filtering noise and amplification of distribution. Next, in Figure 5, the super-highway communication system according to this invention comprises the power line modem enabling the power line superhighway communication to be operated by connecting the incoming power line leading to the power line (102) of the electric outlet distributed to the user's modem (101) belonging to the transmission circuit network dedicated to the power line super-highway communication to the power line communication modem of the embedded slot PCI type (modem installation mode) in PC (101) and connecting the incoming power line leading to the power line (102) of the electric outlet distributed to the user's PC (1) to the power line communication modem of the embedded (slot installation PCI) mode in the power line system of PC (101) and connecting the incoming power line (102) leading to the user's PC (1) to the power line communication modem and the power line of the output and input terminal.
Also, the modem software of the power line system comprises the power line modem enabling the power line super-highway communication to be operated by connecting the incoming power line leading to the main power (102) of the power line communication to the power line communication modem and the output and input terminal under the power line (102) system of PC (101).
The software of the said system comprises a system correction program (108), wattage measurement (109), voltage measurement (110), a transformer (111) and variation (113) of the frequency.
Further, the power line communication system according to this invention comprises a circuit having the platinum wiring for filtering and correcting the frequency. Wherein, the power line communication system according to this invention is to share and interoperate a program for correcting various information received in the said PC (101), wattage measurement, voltage measurement, the transformer, the frequency resonance, variation of the frequency, interoperability required in the system and all users' PCs connected to the web server and operate communication. And, when any wattage is measured in the process of wattage measurement
(109) during the power line communication, in case tolerance of the power incoming section is ±20V, any communication problem is corrected by the correction program (108) in the power line communication system by connecting whether any trouble exists in excess current and proportional current of the power incoming amount to the program of the power line communication system. The said problems in excess and proportional current are solved through correction of excess and proportional power to wattage of rated current to be required for communication by the detection program and the correction program, and further, this system measures the current voltage in the process of excess voltage measurement (110) by the correction program, thereby corrects the frequency in the power line communication of PC (101), and further prevents the frequency band from being deformed so that it protects communication.
The power line communication system according to this invention is installed by inputting (initializing) the set values of the power line communication program (107) (The set values mean the current incoming value for driving PC, the used voltage in each PC and the error value.) into the power line communication program, inputting the average error value of the used power in the country and foreign countries in the range of the numeric value ±20V and the noise generation frequency (generation frequency by units) into the communication program, thereby initializing the power line communication software and correcting the communication quality (The power line communication program is installed under the condition that the initial program has been developed to local situation.). The measurement data on each power line to be required for the said power line communication is currently inputted into the communication program, and thus it does not need to be inputted separately (installation of option).
A position between a user and a receiver and a position (IP) of a sender are detected by emitting data signals in each pulse shaping band, and further, the adder
(105) computes (102) numerically the status of the transformer and the data
(frequency) and the frequency load condition (modulated the frequency that takes place when data signals pass through the transformer) and the correction program
(108) discriminates whether communication connection is available. As a result, if data is abnormally lost, the modulated value of the frequency is calculated and further data signals pass through the transformer without any data loss by the program for resonance (112) of the frequency.
Resonance (112) of the frequency and measurement (113) of variation of the frequency, which are provisional names made by this inventor, are formed of the program configuration in the program, and when the frequency resonates, they are configured as a program for operating the power line communication irrespective of whatever load and noise are imposed on the transformer.
Also, when the frequency resonates, the more the current gets to be intensified in the power line (102), the greater the magnetic field gets to be formed. In the power line communication program according to this invention, it is identified that the greater the magnetic field is, the higher the stability and the transmission rate of data gets to be proportionally as the modified point of the frequency acts just like the characteristic of the coaxial cable with it not being affected by the magnetic field. Thus, the power line communication program according to this invention enables the power line communication to be operated.
When the communication connection fails during the power line communication due to disconnection of the power line or current leakage, the power line communication program is configured so that the corresponding trouble may take place (126) therein (when the frequency transmission fails to be made or the communication connection is unavailable with the modem circuit being formed) and further the power line communication PC (101) may give a message informing that the trouble has taken place to let the user know the problem in communication. Therefore, the user can take prompt action against any problem in communication.
And, when transmission fails to be made in communication due to disconnection of the power line coaxial cable installed in the electric pole, any problem in the power supply, any power failure, any repair work or any problem in the power line communication work, the power line communication data system according to this invention changes the power line communication system as follows;
When data fails to be transmitted since any trouble, such as disconnection of a line, etc., has taken place in the coaxial cable of the power line (102) and the transformer, in case that any detection trouble takes place in wattage measurement (109), voltage measurement (110) and the transformer (111) and any trouble, such as current leakage, short circuit, power failure, etc., takes place in more than a half of the total communication section (for example, power failure or disconnection of line takes place in the power line of 40 to 70km of the total communication section of 100km), through the correction program (108), the fault detection circuit (126) system informs the user of such trouble in communication and further the fault detection circuit (126) automatically converts the system into the system enabling the line to be changed (detoured) by the communication program. Thereby, it corrects such trouble so that data may be transmitted and communication may be smoothly operated.
Also, since the user, who uses the power line communication and the general LAN modem line, uses the power line communication section leading to the ISP equipment as the power line, when he uses another communication line coming from the ISP equipment, if any disconnection of communication takes place due to disconnection of a line, etc., it is impossible to identify it on the power line communication.
Meanwhile, in the conventional power line communication method, the bridge power amplifier has used a switching amplifier and a linear amplifier.
Wherein, the switching amplifier does not have any operation output resistance and any voltage loss in the saturation region or the cut-off region of the transistor, and the linear amplifier works in the active region of the transistor. Therefore, a general switching amplifier failing to make the output resistance 0 has been much used in the conventional bridge power amplifier.
However, since this invention uses the magnetic field taking place in the power line and the power line coaxial cable in communication, it enables the user to connect to all communications, further enabling the power line communication to be operated in the current incoming section of all power lines irrespective of any distance thereof.
Next, actions of the power line communication system according to this invention are described on the basis of the said constitution of this invention.
The power line communication system according to this invention enables a user to use current programs of all websites on Internet communication by using the power line (102) and further, for example, the power line communication program installed in PC (101) and it also enables the dedicated private line to the power line communication to be distributed to the power line by connecting the power connector (low current 4V, 5V, 6V, 12V) of the power supply section of PC
(101, 104) to the PCI type modem of the slot section in PC.
The PC (101) connection for the power line communication between one user and another user is made with the communication system being constituted under the same conditions between them. For example, the power line communication can be operated through the correction program (108) of the internal program by installing the software in the hardware of PC. The user identifies and corrects extensions under the specifications of the basic program for operation of the power line communication in the correction program (108), that is to say, specifications of transmitted data, synchronous, asynchronous, data frequency modulation system, operating mode, instruction buffer, transformer, resonance measurement, resonance number, frequency measurement, frequency resonance, voltage measurement and the like, and the said conditions are identified through the correction program (108) in the system. The power line communication correction program detects any problem that has taken place under any condition out of detection in the fault detection circuit (126), and thereby, it can operate communication smoothly through the system. The said fault detection circuit and the power line communication correction program (108) identifies and sets up specifications and characteristics of a general modem, and the oscillation circuit (123) for sending PC signals and the detected section gets to enable the sending frequency of the communication system, for example, the band frequency of 20 to 2100 Hz to be transmitted. The detection circuit section (126) enables a user to reserve any data transmission time through the error function of the transmitted data and the reserving function for the data accessing time and data transmission. The clock generation circuit searches the file position of cluster in the hardware and identifies the copy position of the counter disk, and thereby, it preserves and transmits data to the detection circuit section (126) and the correction program ( 108) so that it enhances reliability of data.
Also, since the said power line program is configured on the basis of DOS and WINDOWS for the hardware and the software for the primary power line communication, the power line communication can be operated with DOS and
WINDOWS being shared with all PCs of 486 class or higher.
This power line communication could be described as follows; the power line communication uses FDM (Frequency Division Multiplexing) and QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) as a modulation system. Further, it requires a band of 20 to 34 Hz when it sends data signals by the frequency modulation system, and it eliminates problems that have taken place in the magnetic field in the power line and the power line cable. Therefore, any data loss does not take place for the reason of filtering noise and amplification of distribution.
Industrial Applicability
As above described in details, this invention is to enable data to be transmitted at very high speed by installing the modem in a general PC and coupling the send/receive unit terminal of the power line communication modem with the connector of the power rated device in PC. Further, it is to enable data to be transmitted at the modem's very high speed of 10 MBPS to 1.5 GMBPS
(experimental result) even though numerous users access simultaneously to share data and operate communication under any condition.
Also, in this invention, there is no need to install accessories for the power line communication, such as the dedicated private line LAN, the optical cable, the telephone line, the general repeater, etc., and it is possible to control all electric home appliances using the power, such as the digital TV, the telephone, etc., during the power line communication.
Also, since this invention enables the super-highway power line communication to be operated by installing the power line modem (PCI type) in the slot provided in the user's PC, inserting and installing the input/output line of the power line communication modem into the low current connector section in the section for driving PC, installing the hardware and the software program in PC and thereby, connecting the user using the power line communication to ISP (web server equipment), the current network equipments can be used as they are and there is no need to build up any new network for this invention.
When data and dynamic images are transmitted by this invention, data signals can be transmitted without any data loss and it is possible to control all electric home appliances using the power, such as the user's PC, TV, the digital telephone, etc., and further their operation can be controlled without installing any separate accessories in the house or each appliance. Also, this invention comprises a system for controlling operation of the house and the office by using the Internet phone.
Furthermore, this invention enables the long distance communication covering 200km or longer to be operated when data is transmitted by using the power line. For example, the conventional power line communication requires installation of the signal repeater (amplifier) per 1km to 30km, but this invention enables data and dynamic images to be transmitted at the highest speed of 50 Mbps or more by using only the power line communication method and the modem with no need to install any signal repeater. Further, this invention enables hundreds of thousands of users to transmit data, reducing noise noticeably, and therefore, the system reliability in communication gets to be greatly enhanced.
So far, detailed description is provided in respect of the super-highway communication system and the super-highway communication method using the power line and the Internet communication system and the Internet communication method using the power line, according to this invention, by reference to the attached drawings. However, this invention can be variously modified and embodied in various forms within the gist and scope of this invention. Therefore, it should be understood that this invention is not limited to the specific embodiments as described above, and that this invention includes all modifications, equivalents and substitutes that may be provided by the same industry in this technical field within the spirit and scope of this invention as defined in "What is claimed is" herein.

Claims

What is claimed is;
1. A power line communication modem using the power line network and enabling data to be transmitted by using the power line as a communication cable, which is characterized by using the power line as a communication line by connecting a connector of the modem section to a power supply device of the PC (1, 4) of the modem built-in type.
2. According to Claim 1, the power line communication modem is installed in a slot.
3. According to Claim 1, the power line communication modem comprises a circuit section having the platinum wiring for filtering and correcting the frequency.
4. According to Claim 1, the power line communication modem connects the connector section directly to the power supply in the data send/receive line.
5. A power line communication system is characterized by comprising the communication modem to be connected between the user's PC and the ISP equipment (web server) by the software program in the user's PC.
6. According to Claim 5, the power line communication system connects the said modem to the ISP on the power line communication by the said power line program.
7. According to Claim 5, the power line communication system comprises a configuration program enabling any external CCTV and dynamic images to be transmitted through the said power line communication.
8. , According to Claim 5, the power line communication system comprises a configuration program enabling each wattmeter for a street lamp, a water service, and a heating service (heat exchanger) to be automatically detected through the said power line communication.
9. According to Claim 5, the power line communication system comprises a configuration program enabling a wire videophone and a wireless telephone to be relayed through the said power line communication.
10. According to Claim 5, the power line communication system comprises a configuration program enabling the cable TV to be received through the said power line communication.
