Abstract

The invention relates to a remote-controlled system for the management, control and inspection of frauds in the exploitation of recreational and/or prize machines. Data pertaining to the exploitation of the machines is sent via a long-range radioelectrical module or bi-directional telephone line to a central unit by means of a device that is installed inside the recreational machine. Said central unit receives alarm signals pertaining to irregularities in the exploitation or fraud in the collections of the machines. Information received in the central unit makes it possible to provide remote maintenance to the recreational machines without having to dispatch operators. Statistical means make it possible to control and indicate deviations from typical operation of the machines and to assess their profitability and acceptance by the consumer. An additional short-range radioelectrical and bi-directional communications module makes it possible to concentrate data pertaining to alarm signals and exploitation of several machines located in the same premises. Said data is then sent to the central unit in charge of exploitation by means of a long-range communications module.

SECTOR OF THE TECHNIQUE

The sector of the technique referred to in the present invention is the exploitation of recreational machines with or without a prize.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

The invention that is the subject of a patent application consists of a fraud inspection system and real-time control and management of recreational machines, such machines being understood as those machines intended for recreational use by means of payment by coins or other electronic means of payment, in which one or more games are offered to the user, both through displays (CRT, plasma, LCD, TFT or similar) and those in which a game is offered where one or several balls or balls (pinballs, flippers, table football , basketball) or of those where the aim is exercised (darts, shot with guns or assimilated) or those that they demand the skill of the player through the use of joysticks to obtain prizes as well as virtual reality machines or simulators. The aforementioned recreational machines may or may not reward with extra games or returning coins to the winners or giving away various products.

As for machines with prizes commonly called slot machines, it will be understood to include those machines in which the player by means of the introduction of coins or other means of payment for example magnetic or microchip band cards or by radiofrequency and by choosing any combinations (numbers, letters, fruits, colors, or similar) randomly receive cash prizes by returning coins, or by electronic payment in other means of payment.

Currently, the management of the operation of the aforementioned machines requires the periodic displacement of one or several operators (collection, breakdowns and maintenance) to the places where the machines are located, while the fraud inspection is non-existent due to lack of means of verification. DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

This patent is intended to establish an effective and technically reliable system in order to solve the current problems of exploitation of recreational machines as they have been defined previously.

Equipment to be installed in the machine (25).

The core of the invention is a system to be installed inside the recreational machine, whatever its manufacturer or age, and which is housed in a box, inside which the following modules are housed:

A set of electronic inferred modules (1) that is responsible, for various connections to the gaming machine or slot machines, depending on the type or model of it to collect and send electrical signals from the circuits thereof, and adapt the impedance levels and galvanically isolate these connections so that you do not alter the operation of the recreational machine.

A controller module (2) whose preferred embodiment may consist of a microprocessor with multiple analog and digital inputs / outputs that will be connected to the interface module. The controller will also be equipped with a real-time clock and an EPROM type memory system that will have a firmware program resident with the appropriate software for the purposes of the invention and RAM type for temporary storage of the data obtained useful to know the exploitation and its alarms as will be described later.

The connections described above serve to obtain in real time, by the equipment installed in the recreational machine, the proper functioning and condition of the essential parameters of the recreational machine. These parameters are stored as logical data in the RAM memory of the controller system up to a maximum of thirty days of continuous operation, although this limit has a purely practical interest since, if necessary, this storage capacity can be multiplied by the mere exchange of RAM chips for others with greater storage capacity.

Preferred query modules can be:

1. By generation from the recreational machine. Claims
