Abstract

It is a device to be used in order to avoid that third parties view the user's passwords, when using the system, and need to digitate their password in the electronic cashiers and other equipments, consisting of the password protective device (1) itself, presenting in its upper part an optical device which concentrates the keyboard visual field, thus avoiding, the observation of the password digitated by third parties, and may also be adjusted to any type of keyboard in which there is a need to digitate passwords, whether for withdrawals or purchases in the general shopping places.

Description

Protective device for entering passwords
The present model refers to a protective password device at a time it is not known of any similar device patented or in the technical stage.
With the surge of the magnetic cards, which enabled electronic purchases and withdrawals by electronic means, it became a common fact, on a waiting line, that people well or badly intentioned, by observing when the user digitates his password, can some times make money withdrawals from that current account, causing losses to the account holder or even make purchases in the general shopping facilities.
The protective password device was developed viewing at the define elimination of such a problem being described based on the enclosed figure which presents a device for password protection.
As it can be seen in the figure, the protective password device is a piece of adjustable shape to the keyboard of each equipment (1) presenting in its upper part na optical device which concentrates the keyboard view (2), with an opening for hand insertion (3) having an option for internal light which may or may not be sensitive to the presence of the user's hand, or simply visualize the password being digitated and the people standing behind, will notice a distorted view.
The protective password device may be adjusted to (5) any keyboard of a common terminal or cash dispenser, and will become an (unfailing instrument in the visual rote tion of passwords which are being actually digitated, and may be used not only by banks but also in any other type of keyboard where it may be necessary to digitate passwords. Taking into consideration the non existence of mechanisms and equipments which avoid that third parties see the password which is being digitate, the device for password protection complies with the prerequisites of originality and patent registration.

Claims

OUR CLAIM 1 - PROTECTIVE PASSWORD DEVICE - characterized by a protective password (1) which avoids that the user of electronic shopping facilities and cashiers, when digitating his password, allows it to be noticed by any person around him/her, presenting in its upper part na optical device which concentrates the keyboard visual field (2) besides offering the opening of hand insertion (3) where only the terminal's user visualizes the password he is digitating, and people close by or behind, will view a distorted image, thus avoiding, the observation of the password by someone other than the user or film of the password digitated, besides being adjustable to any type of keyboard where there is a need for password digitation, whether for withdrawals or general shopping places.
