Abstract

The invention relates to a method and an injection nozzle (11) for injecting a fuel into an internal combustion engine or a jet engine. An injection of fuel into the internal combustion engine or jet engine takes place after compression. According to the invention, the fuel is heated to a high temperature before injection, by a heating element (6) and is injected into the piston chamber in a vaporous state. This reduces fuel consumption while respecting environmental regulations.
