  • the cover 18 is adhesively secured or bonded to the top surface of the base member 14 which may be done by laminating, gluing, welding, or otherwise permanently securing the cover 18 to the base member 14.
  • the cover 18 may have printed thereon indicia for a particular game such as blackjack.
  • the cover 18 may also have various other information printed thereon such as the name of the casino.
  • the pad 12 is essentially made from the same material and is formed in the same manner as conventional mouse pads.
  • the size and shape of the pad 12 is determined by the size and shape of the gaming table. That is, the pad 12 is cut into the particular shape desired using a template 20 of the board of the table. Preferably, the combined thickness of the cover 18 and the base member 14 is between approximately one-eighth and one-half of an inch.
  • the template 20 of the top of the table is placed on the top surface of a length of the pad material 24 which has the cover 18 pre-printed with the desired indicia already secured to the top surface of the base member 14.
  • the shape of the template 20 is then cut from the pad material 24 using a knife 26 or another sharp instrument usually used for cutting.
  • the opening 28 typically found on a gaming table for storing a tray of chips or the like is also cut out from the pad material 24.
  • the length of pad material may be placed on the top of the table and the edges cut to fit the table. The edges may be cut from either underneath or above the table.
  • the gaming table includes a rail or sidewalls 30, a base 32, and a table top 34.
  • the rail or sidewalls 30 of the table are dismantled by lifting off the rail 30 or removing the screws which secure the top 34 of the table to the rail 30.
  • the cut layout 36 is then placed on the top 34 of the table. (See Figure 4.)
  • the rail 30 of the table is placed back into position on the table and may be secured thereto. Because of the nature of the material of the pad, the pad is not displaced as the layout is being used. As further reinforcement however, once the rail 30 of the table is placed back into position on the table, the edges of the pad may also be screwed into place, thereby securing the pad on the table.
  • the screws are not necessary to secure the sidewalls and/or the pad to the table.
  • the pad may be installed as two or more independent pieces which together form one pad.
  • the rail 30 is once again removed.
  • the pad 12 is then lifted off of the table and is disposed of or stored for reuse.
  • the replacement pad is placed onto the table as described above and the table is reassembled.

Abstract

La présente invention concerne un tracé (10) de table de jeu qui comprend un molleton (12) dont la base (14) est constituée de mousse, de caoutchouc ou d'une matière similaire et dont le recouvrement (18) est constitué de polyester, de vinyle, de tissu naturel ou d'une matière similaire. Ce recouvrement (18) est fixé à la base (14). Pour mettre en place ce molleton (12) sur une table de jeu (32), on retire le rebord ou les parois latérales (30) de cette table. On place un molleton (12) qui a été dimensionné pour s'adapter sur une table particulière sur la partie supérieure de cette table. Puis on remet en place les parois latérales (30) de cette table. Il n'est pas nécessaire de fixer le molleton sur le plateau (34), et il reste en place du fait de la nature du matériau dont il est constitué. Néanmoins, un renfort supplémentaire est prévu: les vis qui viennent fixer les parois latérales (30) à la partie supérieure de la table, peuvent être vissées dans ce tracé (10) de façon à empêcher un déplacement du molleton lorsque cette table est utilisée. Lorsque le remplacement du molleton (12) s'avère nécessaire, on retire les parois latérales (30) de la table et on enlève ce molleton de la partie supérieure (34) de la table. On met ensuite en place un molleton de remplacement taillé aux dimensions de cette table. Puis on réassemble cette table.
