Abstract

Selon l'invention, un pré-examen d'un patient est facilité par un système de catalogues reliés de façon hiérarchique, chaque catalogue comprenant au moins une entrée décrivant un état. La hiérarchie des catalogues reliés est essentiellement une structure d'arbre dans laquelle le contenu des catalogues des niveaux inférieurs dépendent des entrées particulières des catalogues des niveaux supérieurs. Dans un mode de réalisation, le catalogue situé au niveau le plus élevé est une représentation modèle d'un homme et d'une femme. En général, une entrée décrivant un état provenant dudit catalogue est sélectionnée. L'entrée sélectionnée décrivant un état provenant dudit catalogue détermine au moins un catalogue d'un niveau inférieur qui est affiché par la suite. En passant ainsi à travers les catalogues reliés, on peut générer rapidement et de façon précise un diagnostic concis et une description des symptômes. Dans un mode de réalisation de la présente invention, les diagnostics déterminés via la structure hiérarchique comprennent un code ICD-9, ce qui facilite, par conséquent, les mises en oeuvre des bases de données.
