PACKAGE FOR TOBACCO GOODS
Field of the invention
The current invention refers to a packet for tobacco goods and especially for the outer protective cover for tobacco goods and it can be used in the tobacco industry for packaging the finished tobacco products.
Description of the prior art
Well known is the outer cover for packaging stick tobacco goods. According to their fulfillment, they can be a soft pack or semihard unbending cover /hinge-lid packet/, which can be closed by lid or the like.
The outer box, which contains the tobacco goods, can be opened by means of a lid shaped on it or other similar movable object. In many countries, the outer surface of the cigarette packets is provided with revenue stamp or other sign defined by the low.
By opening the lid of the outer box the consumer obtains access to the tobacco goods. At the same time the mentioned revenue stamp tears away. The revenue stamp is fulfilled with preliminary formed weakened lines or perforation lines and placed on the box so that the lines are situated on the line between the edges of the lid and the box.
The purpose of those weakened lines is to make easier the tearing of the revenue stamp, which indicates the intervention of the consumer during the first opening of the package.
A permanent adhesive is applied to the inner surface of the paper or plastic revenue stamp. Placed on the outer pack, the revenue stamp covers qst of its upper surface. The outer box is often covered with a protective sheet made of thin transparent wrap from cellulose or the like, including soft plastic wrap. The purpose of the protective
wrap is to preserve the look of the package especially when the tobacco goods are sell on open-air or in places with poor climatic conditions and especially in places with high temperature and humidity. Well known is the packet for tobacco goods, especially for cigarettes as well as method and device for manufacturing it - US No 5931292, including description of the packet for tobacco goods, consists of outer package wrap in soft protective cover. A cover sheet with formed weakened line1 on-' it is connected by means of a permanent adhesive between the soft protective cover and the solid outer pack.
The cover sheet is often a revenue stamp, label, coupon or other similar sheet used for identification sign. The revenue stamp has a rectangular form and is situated on the narrow side of the solid outer package. The width of the revenue stamp is smaller than the width of the outer package. The revenue stamp is connected to the inner surface of the outer soft protective cover by means of permanent glue.
The mentioned outer protective sheet /cover/ suspend its protective function after the consumer opens the package for the first time. Usually the outer protective sheet has a tear strip. The consumer splits the outer protective sheet into two parts when he runs the tear strip around the packet. In this way he obtain access to the packet which contains the tobacco goods.
The described known packet for tobacco goods, assembled in this way has aggravated aesthetic look. This aggravation is a result from the adherence of the cover sheet on the outer package. It is situated in the upper part of the package, near the place where the lid opens and it covers parts or all the advertising elements placed on the package and in this way ruins the design and the aesthetic look of the package.
By tearing the protective cover, the first opening of the package, with the tobacco goods, is accompanied with tearing
the cover sheet, which in spite of the presence of weakened line tears so that the parts around unstuck or fold. This effect obtains also because usually the cover sheet is made from soft paper, which not always can be solidly glue to the glaze surface of the outer solid package, and especially in the area where the edges of the package and the lid gather. During the use of the packet it is possible that the edges of the tear cover sheet can trouble the proper close of the package, which can cause aggravation of the quality of the tobacco goods. That is why the consumers are trying to remove the edges of the already torn cover sheet, which additionally aggravates the external design of the package.
Summary of the invention
The object of the invention is to create package for tobacco goods, which can ensure simple access to the tobacco goods during the first opening of the package. It can also preserve the original aesthetic look of the design of the outer package and rise the guarantee for the derivation of the tobacco goods. The purpose of the invention is obtained with a packet for tobacco goods, including outer package for tobacco goods wrapped in soft protective cover. A cover sheet with formed weakened line on it is connected, by means of permanent adhesive, between the soft protective cover and the outer solid package.
According to the invention, on the surface of the cover sheet, formed as a revenue stamp, label, coupon or other compulsory sign, there is at least one sector determined by weakened lines. The revenue stamp is connected to the inner surface of the soft protective cover.
The cover sheet is connected to the protective cover by means of permanent adhesive piled on the facial surface and
only the weakening sector has a permanent adhesive on its back surface.
According to the invention under cover sheet have not permanent adhesive and weakening sectors have permanent adhesive under the face surface.
According to the invention under cover sheet have not permanent adhesive and weakening sectors have permanent adhesive under the back surface.
According to the invention one of the solutions is to pile adhesive on the facial surface on both, the revenue stamp and the weakening sector. Another solution is to pile the adhesive on the back surface on both, the revenue stamp and the weakened sector.
It is possible that the back surface of the revenue stamp has permanent adhesive on the weakened sector and on at least one non-weakened sector.
The described packet for tobacco goods allows preserving the aesthetic look of the outer package in its original appearance. Gluing the cover sheet to the outer protective cover allows preserving the aesthetic appearance of the original design. Simultaneously it ensures considerably easier access for the consumer to the tobacco goods when opening the package for the first time, because by tearing away the tear strip, the consumer, with only one movement removes the protective cover and the cover sheet formed for example as a revenue stamp. The sector, shaped on the cover sheet remains attached to the outer package, as evidence for the tearing of the cover sheet during the first opening of the package. Shaping more than one weakened sector on the cover sheet allows application of the invention without making any changes in the construction or tunings of the manufacturing machines .
Be sides, shaping more than one weakened sector or sectors with different form on the revenue stamp creates additional
possibilities for rising the safety of the consumer in respect to the origin of the tobacco goods from different marks and qualities. It also rises the safety of the control of the quantity of the manufactured packets.

Description of preferred embodiments
The invention refers to packet for tobacco goods, which includes hard or soft package 1 for tobacco goods wrapped in protective cover 2. The protective cover is usually made of transparent cellulose wrap based on PET or propylene, which is distinguished for its optical purity. The protective cover 2 can be fulfilled with mate surface.
Cover 2 consists of tear strip 3, whose free end is shaped as a tongue 4, which makes pulling out the tear strip and splitting the protective cover into two parts - upper 4 and lower 5, easier.
Cover sheet 6 is attached to the inner surface of the protective cover 2. It can be shaped as a revenue stamp, label, coupon or the like. The revenue stamp 6 must be attached to the protective cover by means of permanent adhesive piled on the face surface of the revenue stamp 6. The revenue stamp 6 has at least one sector 7 determined by weakening lines. The sector 7 has permanent adhesive piled on its back surface. The sector 7 can be fulfilled in any shape including some kind of artistic pattern. The weakened lines /shown on the figures with dashed lines/ can be fulfilled as preliminarily shaped slots to guarantee easy tearing of the weakening sector 7 while removing the protective cover 2 during the first opening of the packet. The slots are preliminary cut through the whole width of the cover sheet 6 and determine the edges of the sector 7.
According to one exemplary fulfillment of the invention /fig. 2/ the rectangular revenue stamp 7 has a sector 6 formed as triangle and situated in the corner of the stamp. With pulling the tear strip 3 the consumer splits the protective cover 2 in two parts - upper and lower. By removing the upper part 4 the weakened sector 7 tears away form the revenue stamp 6 and remains attached to the outer
glaze surface of the lid 8, formed on the upper part of the packet 1. The presence of such sector 7, on the outer package 1 is a proof for the presence of the revenue stamp during the first opening of the package 1. The consumer usually throws the upper part 4 of the protective cover 2 away. In this way the original design and the aesthetic look of the outer packet remains, and premises for rising the guarantee and security of the origin and the quality of the tobacco goods are created. According to another exemplary fulfillment of the invention /fig. 4/ the revenue stamp 6 has weakened sector 6 formed as a rectangular. It is possible to situate the sector 7 in the part of the revenue stamp 6 where the distinctive is printed. The distinctive sign can be serial number or other element. In this case it is suitable to attach the revenue stamp 6 to the inner surface of the protective cover 2. In this way the weakened sector is situated under the tear strip 3. After pulling it out and tearing away the protective cover 2, part of the revenue stamp 6 remains connected to the lower part of the outer packet 1, usually near the area of the lid.
According to another exemplary fulfillment of the
Invention it is possible to attach the revenue stamp -6 to the outer surface of the protective cover 2, applying permanent adhesive to the whole back surface of the revenue stamp 6 including the surface of the weakening sector 7. In this case the revenue stamp 6 is situated over the protective cover and the weakened sector 7 remains attached to the lower part 5 of the protective cover 2 formed after tearing it away with the tear strip. According to another exemplary fulfillment of the invention /fig. 7/ the revenue stamp 6 can have more than one weakened sectors 7 shaped on it. The revenue stamp 6 is connected to the inner surface of the protective cover 2, as it was in the first and second example. In the given example
there are two weakened sectors 7 with rectangular form situated in such a way that after pulling out the tear strip 3 the two sectors 7 remains attached to two different walls of the outer packet 1. For example one of the weakened sectors is attached to the movable lid and the other to the main part of the packet 1, actually to its backside.
According to one alternative fulfillment of the invention the protective cover 2 is manufactured with printed information on it, including with printed cover sheet 6, which can be revenue stamp, label, coupon or other similar sign.
The printing can be made on one known method, as the print information can be put under any surface - outer or upper. The printing element - revenue stamp must be orientation as in the above mentioned examples. Such orientation is connected with the effect - after pulling out the tear strip 3 under the cover will remain part of revenue stamp - for example one or two sectors 7 remains attached to two different walls of the outer packet 1 In one alternative variant, the invention can be used with the so-called soft packages. In this case the revenue stamp 6 is glued to the accessible inner packet 9, formed with a seal 10 with applied permanent adhesive on it. The seal can be glued repeatedly to the package 1. During the first opening of the seal 10 the revenue stamp tears away and the weakening sector 7 remains attached to the packet 1.
Exemplary variants of shaping the cover sheet 6 with one or more weakened sectors 7 are shown respectively on Fig.9 and Fig.10. These examples do not limit the possible fulfillment of the invention, including combinations with the number of the sectors 7 and the choice of their form. There are possible fulfillment's of the revenue stamp 6 with weakened sectors with identical shape or with different shape. The different combinations can be used by the
manufacturer as an additional sign for the safety and guarantee of the origin or the quality of the tobacco goods. For example revenue stamp 6 with two circular sectors guarantee tobacco goods from certain mark and quality.
