If the ticket is deemed authentic by validator 56 based on a comparison of the read and calculated ticket security signatures (step 590), the variable data and encrypted ticket validation parameter TVP, along with the game indicia and their locations in the choice boxes, are transmitted to host validation system 60, e. g., over network 70, and stored in memory 86 (step 600). If the validator determines that the ticket is not authentic, it is rejected (step 595).

Abstract

L'invention concerne un dispositif et un procédé de validation d'un ticket de jeu instantané. Ledit ticket comporte en impression des données de validation et des informations de jeu, ces informations de jeu étant recouvertes d'un revêtement opaque amovible, et une partie des informations de jeu n'étant pas recouverte en conformité avec une règle de jeu pour la pratique du jeu. Le ticket instantané est lu afin de déterminer les données de validation et les positions relatives des informations de jeu non recouvertes sur le ticket instantané. Des données de jeu concernant le ticket instantané sont obtenues d'une position différente de celle du ticket instantané. Un ticket virtuel correspondant au ticket instantané est créé sur la base des données de validation et des données de jeu. Le ticket virtuel est comparé au ticket instantané afin de déterminer si une combinaison gagnante des informations de jeu est découverte sur le ticket instantané en conformité avec les règles de jeu.
