Abstract

A memory card (110) comprising a memory (1415) in which encrypted content data is stored according to content information for identifying the encrypted content data and from which the content data is outputted to the outside of the memory card (110) in response to a request from outside of the memory card (110), a license holding unit (1440) in which at least part of multiple pieces of license information distributed by a distributing system and corresponding to the same content information can be stored, and a controller (1420) for selectively outputting at least part of the multiple pieces of information stored in the license holding unit (1440) to the outside in response to the request from the outside of the memory card (110).
