Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé destiné à faciliter la récupération d'un téléphone portable (24) associé à un prestataire de télécommunications sans fil (16). Selon ledit procédé, un abonné (12) envoie une requête de position comportant des informations d'identification à un prestataire de services (10) par l'intermédiaire d'une source différente du téléphone portable (24), le prestataire de services (10) envoie une requête prédéfinie au prestataire de télécommunications sans fil (16) demandant la position du téléphone portable (24), le prestataire de télécommunications sans fil (16) recherche la position du téléphone portable (24), le prestataire de télécommunications sans fil (16) fournit des informations de position au prestataire de services (10), et le prestataire de services (10) fournit à son tour les informations de position au client (12). Selon l'invention, il est également possible de modifier le volume de la sonnerie du téléphone portable, et de récupérer les informations enregistrées sur le téléphone portable. L'invention concerne également un système informatique destiné à mettre en oeuvre le procédé selon l'invention. Dans un mode de réalisation, le prestataire de télécommunications sans fil (16) joue le rôle du prestataire de services (10).
