Description

VENTILATION VALVE
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The invention relates to a ventilation valve, and more particularly to a ventilation valve which can be effectively used in a shoes or a clothing to prevent stink or skin trouble like athlete' s foot owing to sweat or moisture by circulating the air excellently.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Shoes or a clothing are weared in order to protect a body of man. By the way, if the shoes or clothing are not ventilated well, foot and armpit may sweat and smell, so the skin trouble like athlete' s foot may be brought on. And, a bag may be filled with moisture and stinks if it is closed by a zipper for a long time.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The invention is created to solve the above problems, so the object of the invention is to provide a ventilation valve which can be effectively used to prevent stink or skin trouble like athlete' s foot owing to sweat or moisture because it enable an excellent air circulation through a shoes, a clothing or a bag and so on.
According to an aspect of the invention, there is provided with a ventilation valve comprising a body 2 which is inserted into a hole 32 of a base sheet 30 and has an air passage 4 in it, a cap 6 which is inserted into the hole 32 of the base sheet 30 and is engaged with the body 2 and has a plurality of pores 8 communicated with the air passage 4 of the body 2, and a disk 12 which is provided at the air passage 4 of the body 2 and having curved and flexible diaphragm 10 at the outer edge it, and the diaphragm 10 of the disk 12 contacts with the inner wall of the air passage 4 of the body 2 in a manner that air may flow only in one direction.
According to other aspect of the invention, there is provided with a ventilation valve wherein the cap 6 has an engaging part 14 to be engaged with the body 2, and a grooves 16 are formed either on engaging part 14 of the cap or on the surface of the body 2 and projections 18 engaged with the grooves 16 are formed either on the surface of the body 2 or on the engaging part 14 of the cap, so that the thickness of valve may be adjustable by selecting the engaging part of the grooves 16 and projections 18 in conformity with the thickness of the base sheet 30.
According to another aspect of the invention, there is provided with a ventilation valve which comprises a tubular housing 102 inserted into a hole 122 of base sheet 120 and having an opening 113 on one end and the first pores 103 on the other end, a combination member 104 inserted in the opening 113 of housing 102 and having the second pores 105 on the one end, a flexible disk 106 being disposed between the first pores 103 and the second pores 105 and being adjacently contacted to only one of the first pores 103 and the second pores 105.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Figure 1 shows a cross -sectional view of an embodiment of the invention.
Figure 2 shows an used state view of the invention.
Figure 3 to Figure 5 show another embodiment of the invention. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
A preferred embodiment of the invention will be described in detail below by referring to the accompanying drawings.
Figure 1 shows a cross-sectional view according to an embodiment of the invention, and Figure 2 shows a used state view according to the embodiment. The ventilation valve 1 of the invention comprises a body 2 as well as a cap 6 which are inserted into a base sheet 30, and a disk 12 which is provided at the air passage 4 of the inside of the body 2 and which makes air flow only in one direction.
The body 2 is formed in a cylindrical shape, and have a flange 22 at the periphery on one end of it which will contact to the outer side of a base sheet 30. And, the body 2 is inserted from the outer side into a hole 32 formed at the side of a shoes, at the armpit portion of a clothing, or at the lower end of a bag and so on. Further, an air hole 11 is provided on one end of the body 2, an air passage 4 is provided inside the body 2, and a short shaft 5 is provided along the center line of the air passage 4.
The disk 12 is made of elastic material and inserted into the short shaft 5 of the body 2. And, a flexible diaphragm 10 which is curved toward one side is provided at the periphery of the disk 2.
The cap 6 is inserted from inside of the base sheet 30, and an engaging part 14 to be engaged with the body 2 is provided on the inner wall of the cap 6. Further, grooves 16 are prc ided on the engaging part 14. these grooves 16 are engaged with the projection s 18 on the periphery of the body 2. By selecting the grooves 16 and projections 18 to be engaged, the thickness of the valve may be adjusted. And, a plurality of air pores 8 which are opened to the air passage 4 of the body 2 are provided on the side wall of the cap 6.
According to the ventilation valve 1 of the invention as described above, if a clothing or a shoes is pressed and air is going to be discharged from inside to outside, the diaphragm 12 of the disk 2 is elastically deformed toward the center line of the body 2 to open the air passage 4 and the air may be discharged outwardly. Next, if the clothing or the shoes is restored from the pressed state, vacuum force may be applied on the diaphragm 10 of the disk 12 to closely contact to the inner wall of the body 2, so it may prevent air inflow. And, air may introduced from the other side of the clothing or the shoes into inside, and accordingly, air circulation will be achieved.
Further, a plurality of projections 18 are formed on the outer surface of the body in a regular interval. These projections 18 are engaged with the grooves 16 on the engaging part 14. By adjusting the engaging position between the grooves 16 and projections 18. the thickness of the valve may be adjusted in conformity with the thickness of a base sheet 30.
The example valve of the invention is depicted as the air is discharged from inside to outside. However, the
Figure imgf000006_0001
1 can be structured so that the diaphragm 10 of the disk 12 is made to be curved toward the inner side so that the outer air may flow through the valve to inside of the clothing and so on.
Figure 3 to Figure 5 show another embodiment of the invention, the valve comprises a tubular housing 102 and combination member 104 and a flexible disk 106. The tubular housing 102 is inserted into a hole 122 of the base sheet and has an opening 113 on one end and the first pores 103 on the other end. The combination member 104 is inserted in the opening 103 of housing 102 and has the second pores 105 on the one end. The flexible disk 106 is disposed between the first pores 103 and the second pores 105 and is adjacently contacted to only one of the first pores 103 and the second pores 105.
The housing 102 is a cylindrical shape and have a side wall 116. The side wall 116 have the first pores 103 which would allow the air to pass but block off other sizable particles such as soil particles. And the housing 102 has an opening 113 on the other end to which the combination member is inserted. The housing 102 has flanges 107 and 108 at the both ends to tightly contact the base sheet 120 of the shoe or bag.
The combination member 104 is also a cylindrical shape and have a plurality of spokes 115 at one end. The second pores 105 are formed between the spokes 115. And a projection 111 is formed at the center of the spokes 105 to engaged with the disk 106. The combination member 104 is inserted to the housing 102 with the flange 109 being contact to the flange 108 of housing 102.
The disk 106 is a flexible diaphragm and engaged with the projection 111 to adjacently contact with the second pores 105. If the air inside the shoe are to exhaust, the periphery 110 of the disk 106 may be bent toward the first pores 3 to allow the air flow. Contrary, if the air outside the shoe are to flow into the λ'alve, the periphery 110 of the disk 106 will be tightly contact with the second pores 105 of the combination member 104 so to block off the air inflow.
The valve of this embodiment consist of only a few parts, and easy to assemble because the assembly is finished only by inserting the disk 106 into the combination member 104 and combining the housing 102 and combination member 104 through the hole 122 of the base sheet 120.
As described above, the ventilation valve according to the invention can prevent stink caused by sweat or moisture, or skin trouble caused by the growth of various kinds of bacteria because air can be well circulated through a shoes, a clothing or a bag and so on. In addition, the valve of the invention is simple in structure and easy to assemble.
