Abstract

L'invention concerne un appareil (100) pouvant être utilisé pour analyser de manière sensiblement continue une propriété physique d'une boue excavée dans un circuit d'écoulement de boue excavée pendant l'utilisation d'un dispositif de forage. L'appareil (100) comprend une chambre à échantillon (114) pourvue d'une entrée (113) et d'une évacuation (122), laquelle chambre est conçue pour permettre à une boue excavée de s'écouler à travers elle depuis l'entrée (113) vers l'évacuation (122). L'appareil comprend également un détecteur (116), tel qu'un densimètre et/ou un viscosimètre permettant d'analyser de manière sensiblement continue une propriété physique de la boue excavée s'écoulant à travers la chambre à échantillon (114) pendant le fonctionnement dudit appareil (100). Des conduits d'amenée et de retour (103a, 126) permettent de relier l'entrée (113) et l'évacuation (122), respectivement, à un circuit d'écoulement de boue excavée pendant le fonctionnement de l'appareil (100), de manière à fournir au moins une partie de l'écoulement de la boue excavée à travers l'appareil (100) en vue des analyses. Une pompe (112) produit un écoulement commandé de la boue excavée à travers l'appareil (100), de sorte que les propriétés de la boue, en particulier la densité et la viscosité soient analysées de manière plus ou moins continue.
