Definitions

  • the container according to the invention has been designed.
  • Such container is made of plastics, cardboard, tin or other materials with a certain degree of intrinsic elasticity.
  • the volume of the container can be gradually and irreversibly reduced during use, thanks to the "accordion" structure of the container which is made up, as usual, of an alternate series of truncated conical sections with two different heights.
  • each truncated conical section with higher height penetrates the truncated conical section with lower height below, thus deforming it permanently, and remains in such a position permanently (unless an equal opposite force is applied).
  • the container according to the invention can be completely compacted, without the risk of spontaneous stretching, also without the cap. Moreover, it must be noted that the volume of such a container can be gradually reduced by "single snaps" by making one truncated conical section with higher height penetrate inside the truncated conical section with lower height each time some of the liquid is consumed.
  • the progressive compacting makes the container according to the invention extremely useful and advantageous, since it allows for the progressive reduction of the quantity of air in contact with the liquid in the container. This allows for maintaining the effervescence of fizzy drinks, avoiding the putrescence of mineral water and slowing the degradation of other perishable substances.
  • the container according to the invention is capable of providing the aforesaid advantages without requiring higher production costs compared to the production costs of traditional containers.
  • FIG. 1A and 1 B are front views of a transparent bottle according to the invention, shown in normal and compact position, respectively;
  • the bottle according to the invention - made of PET or similar materials - has an "accordion" section (3) located between the bottom (1) and the opening (2).
  • the "accordion” section (3) is made up of a regularly alternate series of two different truncated conical sections, of which one (3a) converges towards the bottom (1) and has a higher height, while the other one (3b) converges towards the opening (2) and has a lower height.
  • the total or gradual compacting of the bottle according to the invention is caused by the axial force applied to get the opening (2) closer to the bottom (1 ).
  • the force makes each truncated conical section that converges towards the bottom with higher height (3a) penetrate the truncated conical section that converges towards the opening with lower height (3b).
  • the penetration of the truncated conical section (3a) inside the section below (3b) is irreversible since the force discharged by the section (3a) on the section (3b) makes the tilted external wall of the section below (3b) overturn.
  • a "snap" is represented by the overturning of the external walls of the truncated conical sections with lower height (30b) in an opposite way compared to the external walls of the truncated conical sections (3b) of the bottle shown in figure 1.
  • this description refers to one type of bottle, that is a cylindrical container, the same principle can be applied to containers with different shapes, such as the parallelepiped containers used for milk, wine or tomato sauce.
  • the container will have the same "accordion" structure, with the only difference that the sections with different height of the accordion will be truncated pyramidal and not truncated conical sections.
