METHOD FOR BINDING BOOK PROVIDING CONVENIENCE OF READING
Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a method for binding a book, and more particularly, to a method for binding a book which introduces a novel arrangement of pages to provide the convenience of reading to a reader.
Discussion of Related Art
As commonly known, a conventional method for binding a book arranges continuous pages in a sequential manner. FIG. 1 is an exemplary view illustrating page arrangement and page turning in a book bound in the conventional method. In the conventional book, as shown, the continuous pages are arranged in a sequential order. In more detail, a second page is arranged on the right side of a first page, a third page on the back side of the second page, and a fourth page on the right side of the third page. Also, the page turning manner on the conventional book is shown.
Under the above page arrangement, if the third page is to
be read after the reading of the second page, the contents of the third page where the next contents of the second page are arranged become moved. In other words, the next contents to the read page are arranged on the page moving due to the page turning. Thereby, the next contents to the read page can not be well read while turning the pages, or the reading of the contents arranged on the moving page causes the eyes of a reader to be easily strained.
Generally, the contents arranged on the continuous pages have a close relevancy to each other or are all needed upon referring to the pages. In this case, there occurs no problem in that the contents of the first page are seen at the second page, but it is not easy to see the contents of the first page at the second page, since the third page is arranged on the back side of the second page.
In case of a horizontal writing book, the book is generally read in a right direction. FIG.2 is an exemplary view illustrating reading direction and page turning direction in a book bound in the conventional method. As shown, the page turning direction is opposite to the reading direction, which provides desultoriness of the reading to the reader and fails to unify the page turning direction and the reading direction.
Disclosure of the Invention
Accordingly, the present invention is directed to a method for binding a book that substantially obviates one or more of the problems due to limitations and disadvantages of the related arts .
An object of the invention is to provide a method for binding a book which can arrange continuous pages in such a novel manner that upon turning the pages, the contents of the next page to be read to the continuous pages are not arranged on the pages moving due to the turning.
Another object of the invention is to provide a method for binding a book which can arrange continuous pages to provide the convenience to a reader upon referring to the continuous pages.
Yet another object of the invention is to provide a method for binding a book which can arrange pages to unify a reading direction and a page turning direction, in case of a horizontal writing.
To accomplish these and other object of the present invention, there is provided a method for binding a book including the steps of: arranging a preceding page on the left side of the opened book; and arranging the next page to the preceding page arranged on the left side of the opened book on the right side of the opened
book, whereby the pages of the book are turned over toward the direction of the right side from the direction of the left side to thereby move to the contents next to the contents of the pages.
It is to be understood that both the foregoing general description and the following detailed description are exemplary and explanatory and are intended to provide further explanation of the invention as claimed.
Brief Description of the Drawings
The accompanying drawings, which are included to provide a further understanding of the invention and are incorporated in and constitute a part of this specification, illustrate embodiments of the invention and together with the description serve to explain the principles of the drawings.
In the drawings:
FIG. 1 is an exemplary view illustrating page arrangement and page turning in a book bound in a conventional method;
FIG. 2 is an exemplary view illustrating reading direction and page turning direction in a book bound in a conventional method;
FIG. 3 is an exemplary view illustrating page arrangement and page turning in a book bound in accordance with the present invention;
FIG. 4 is an exemplary view illustrating character reading direction and page turning direction in a book bound in accordance with the present invention; and
FIG. 5 is an exemplary view in case of referring to continuous pages in a book bound in accordance with the present invention.
Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
Reference will now be made in detail to the preferred embodiments of the present invention, examples of which are illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
Now, an explanation of a method for binding a book in accordance with the present invention will be in detail discussed.
FIG. 3 is an exemplary view illustrating page arrangement and page turning in a book bound in accordance with the present invention. As shown, the book bound according to the present invention arranges a preceding page on the left side thereof on the opened state and arranges the next page to the page arranged on the left side on the right side thereof. In the same manner as above, after the turning of the pages, another preceding page is arranged on the left side of the opened book and the next page is on the right side thereof.
By way of example, as shown in FIG. 3, a first page is arranged
on the left side of the opened book, a second page on the right side thereof, a third page on the left side of the next page to the first and second pages, and a fourth page on the right side of the third page. Also, after reading the second page, the pages are turned toward the right direction at the left side to thereby read the third page.
Under the above page arrangement of the present invention, if the third page is to be read after the reading of the second page, the first and fourth pages are turned over, such that the read second page and the third page to be soon read are not all moved. Therefore, the desired next page can be read in an easy manner, while turning pages.
FIG. 4 is an exemplary view illustrating character reading direction and page turning direction in a book bound in accordance with the present invention.
As shown, in case of the horizontal writing, the reading direction in the book bound according to the present invention is the same as the page turning direction therein.
FIG. 5 is an exemplary view in case of referring to continuous pages in a book bound in accordance with the present invention.
As shown, in case of referring to the continuous pages, the pages arranged between the continuous pages are folded to see
the desired continuous pages in a convenient manner. For instance, if the contents of the third page which are continuous to the second page are to be seen, the pages (that is, the first and fourth pages) arranged between the second and third pages are folded. Of course, the continuous pages, for example, the first and second pages or the third and fourth pages, which are arranged side by side in the opened state of the book are easily seen in the same manner as the conventional book.
As apparent from the above, there is provided a method for binding a book which can arrange continuous pages in such a manner that upon turning the pages, the contents of the next page to be read to the continuous pages are not arranged on the pages moving due to the turning, arrange the continuous pages to provide the convenience to a reader upon referring to the continuous pages, and arrange pages to unify a reading direction and a page turning direction, in case of a horizontal writing.
It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various modifications and variations can be made in a method for binding a book of the present invention without departing from the spirit or scope of the invention. Thus, it is intended that the present invention cover the modifications and variations of this invention provided they come within the scope of the appended claims and
their equivalents
