Accordingly, the VAS plug-in module 302 is able to process the user's decisions before they are actually transmitted to the VoIP network. On the other hand, it is aware of network-originating events before they are made available to the user. Additionally, it is able to interact with the IP telephony client, directly with the end-user via a graphic user interface 322 if needed, as well as generate appropriate signaling to the network.
