Abstract

A structual connection between a first component and a second component, wherein in the preferred embodiment the first component is a structural element (18) of an air handling unit and the second component is a threaded bolt (74) for mounting fans or motors thereto. The first component includes an elongated structural support element having first and second integrally formed walls (38, 40) spaced from one another to define a longitudinally extending open channel (43) therebetween. The second component is an elongated fastener having an enlarged head section (78) and an integrally formed narrow fastener section (76).
