Description

DESCRIPTION
THE CREDITED ELECTRONIC WATER METER WITH TOUCH-MATIC TYPE
MEMORY
The credited electronic water meter with touch-matic type memory, is an instrument, which measures the flow of water electronically, and credit is being loaded previously, by using the touch-matic type memory, that allows the passage of water quantity, which was loaded.
The classical (mechanical) water meters that are currently being used have some problems that are brought in. That is, problem might arise between the administration that gives the water distribution services and the consumer, with regard to the correct calculation of the cost of the consumption and its collection. Along with this, the classical water meters, may make easier the smuggled usage. Thus, the consumption amounts that cannot be collected, and the delays that occur in the payments of the consumers, put the organization, which gives the services of water distribution, and cause the ailing in the services given.
In the same may, in the instruments that are started to be used later on, the leading problems are their not being able to be used for each and every consumer, and their only being installed at the entries of the buildings. The reason of this, is the installation difficulties, that arise due to the dimensions of the instrument. Due to these reasons, while the consumers continue to use their mechanical water meters, that they are currently using, they remain also bound to the second water meter that is being installed in the entry of the building as a second control. When this second water meter uses up / finishes its credit, the water supply of all of the consumers is being cut off, and this gives rise to problems, inside the building. Those, who think that they consume less water, compared to other consumers, naturally object this.
The main property of this invention, is the measurement of the water consumption by electronic means, and thus, the control of the water that is being passed, and its being able to be given to each and every consumer, especially due to its dimensions, being small. Due to these reasons, the water consumption of each and every consumer will separately be taken under control.
The other property of the invention, is the providing of the allowing the quantity of water, as in the credit, by measuring precisely / the exact amount of the water, through electronic systems. Another property of this invention, is measurement system, which comprises of the wheel, the magnetic contact, which senses the magnet, which is on one of the wings of the wheel. Thus, the amount of water, that passes, by each rotation of the wheel, shall be measured precisely / in a correct way.
Another property of .the invention, is that the security / reliability is in its uppermost level, since the credit loading procedure is being carried out, through the touch-matic memory, since the credit, and the statistical information are being loaded to this touch-matic memory, in a ciphered way, the intervention of unauthorized persons to this, is not possible.
Another property of this invention, is that, all the measurement and indicator information are under the control of a micro-controller. Another property of this invention, is its being helpful, to the formation of national and regional water consumption data, since the water consumption is being data-processing supported. Another property of this invention, is that, in case the battery cover is tried to be opened / removed by an unauthorized person, the water meter immediately cuts off the water flow, and waits until an authorized person intervenes. This authorization is only given to the touch- matic memories, which are specifically defined, and which are only in the hands of those people, who are given this duty only.

The system design, comprises of the sensor unit (2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) wheel mechanism, specifically designed that measures the amount of water passing through the system, the touch-matic, memory (22) that conveys the number of counts / counter to the instrument, water valve (10, 12, 13, 15) with direct current motor command, that has reductor group on itself, as a block, which controls the amount of the water that passes through the system, the external protection cover (19) , carrying body (1) , battery
(18) , the pit of the touch-matic memory (17) , the indicator
(16) , that gives the information related to the system, and the electronic card (9), that provides the co-ordination of all these. There exists the touch-matic memory (22) , which conveys the loaded information, to the system, from the loading center. There is a magnet (23) on one of the wings of the wheel, inside the water meter and a magnetic contact (24), which senses the magnet.
A gear mechanism, which is also called the external reduction gear, is being used in lieu of the valve arm (12) , which provides the connection between the motor with reductor and the valve .
The credited water meter with touch-matic type memory, may also be connected to a central communications unit. The water meter is operating with battery.
