Abstract

Cette invention concerne un système de gestion de bibliothèque de propriétés intellectuelles [Intellectual properties (IP)] comprenant des données IP séparées en deux bases de données distinctes, à savoir une base de données IP pour le stockage de données relatives à des composants virtuels, et une base de données relative à un catalogue IP pour le stockage d'attributs appartenant aux données de composants virtuel. La base de données IP et la base de données de catalogue IP sont connectées via un réseau local. Un serveur de fichier de base de données IP sert d'intermédiaire entre la base de donnés IP et le réseau local, cependant qu'un ou plusieurs serveurs de base de données font office d'intermédiaire entre la base de données de catalogue IP et le réseau local. Le réseau local peut être connecté à un réseau longue portée auquel peuvent accéder à distance des utilisateurs éloignés. Le système de gestion de bibliothèque IP fait intervenir une méthodologie auteur IP et une méthodologie intégration IP associée aux deux bases de données. Les utilisateurs peuvent accéder au système de gestion de bibliothèque IP par l'intermédiaire d'un réseau informatique global tel qu'Internet.
