Abstract

There are 168 (one hundred and sixty-eight) cards including 80 (eighty) cards containing multiplication of two figures taken from multiplication table, 80 (eighty) cards with products, 8 (eight) cards with results that are not products of multiplication table. The cards are divided into 8 (eight) packs, each pack contains 21 (twenty-one) pieces. The invention is addresed to children at the school age. Its aim is to make learning mutiplication table easier through play and competition.

Description

Cards for learning multiplication table
The subject of the invention are cards which make learning multiplication table easier and doit in a form of play.
Children already know the cards where the goal of a game is matching appropriate pairs up. Participants of this game take from one another one card and try to match it with a suitable card (find pairs).
In accordance with the invention, there are 168 cards for learning multiplication table. The cards are divided into 8 packs and each pack has 21 pieces. Each pack contains a different column of multiplication table : The first pack is the column of multiplication times 2: 2x1= 2, 2x2 = 4, 2x3 = 6, -2x10 = 20
The second pack is the column of multiplication times 3:
3x1 = 3,3x2 = 6,3x3 = 9, -3x10 = 30
The third pack is the column of multiplication times 4:
4 x 1 = 4, 4 x 2 = 8, 4 x 3 = 12, - 4 x 10 = 40 The fourth pack is the column of multiplication times 5:
5 x 1 = 5, 5 x 2 = 10, 5 x 3 = 15, - 5 x 10 = 50
The fifth pack is the column of multiplication times 6:
6x1=6,6x2=12,6x3 = 18, -6x10 = 60
The sixth pack is the column of multiplication times 7: 7x1= 7, 7x2= 14, 7x3 = 21, -7x10 = 70
The seventh pack is the column of multiplication times 8:
8x1 = 8,8x2=16,8x3 = 24, -8x10 = 80
The eighth pack is the column of multiplication times 9:
9 x 1 = 9, 9 x 2 = 18, 9 x 3 = 27, - 9 x 10 = 90 Each pack contains 21 cards, on each card there is a multiplication of two figures,for instance: for the first pack 2 x 1 ( the first card ), 2 x 2 ( the second card ), 2 x 3 ( the third card ), 2 x 4 ( the fourth card ), 2 x 5 ( the fifth card ), 2 x 6 ( the sixth card ), 2 x 7 ( the seventh card ), 2 x 8 ( the eighth card ), 2 x 9 ( the ninth card ), 2 x 10 ( the tenth card ), whereas on 10 following cards there is a product of two figures, for example: for the first pack - 2 ( the figure on the first card ), - 4 ( the figure on the second card ), - 6 ( the figure on the third card ), - 8 ( the firure on the fourth card ), - 10 ( the figure on the fifth card ).
In each pack there is one additional card with a product which does not exist in multiplication table , for example : number 17.
Participants of the game start by dealing cards to every player. Then by taking one card from one another, they try to match a card with multiplication of two figures with a suitable card with the product of the two figures. To make the game easier, each player has multiplication table in front of him/her. Matched cards are put away and they are not used in the game any more. The loser is a person who finishes the game with one card with a product which does not exist in multiplication table. The invention facilitates learning multiplication table by playing a competitive game. It also makes learning more exciting. Claims :
