Abstract
The object of the invention is the lock of a compartment for small items situated in the armrest of the car seat. The lock consists of the latch component (2), situated in the cover (1), on which there is the blocking surface (5), which mates with the blocking mass (6). The blocking mass (6) is a disk that is placed on the axis in the eccentric way. In case of placing the armrest in the passive position, the disk makes a turn under its own weight and contacting the blocking surface (5) of the latch component (2), it prevents the controlling lever (8) connected with the push-button (7) from moving the latch component (2) and opening the cover (1).
Description
Compartment lock
The object of the invention is a lock of a compartment designed for storing small objects, for example located in an armrest of the car seat.
Several locks of compartments for small objects located in armrests are known. There is a lock consisting of latch lever situated in the compartment cover, the lever is provided with a tooth, which mates with the proper hole in the body of the armrest. The surface of the body near the hole is shaped in such a way that on closing the compartment the lever tooth, which moves on that surface, makes the lever deflect and it enables the tooth to enter the hole in the body. The part of the latch lever opposite to the tooth is designed for lock release. The manual displacement upward makes the tooth leave the hole in the armrest body.
It is a disadvantage of that solution that when the armrest is in the passive position, the push-button that releases the latch is situated at the top and the accidental displacement of that button releases the latch, the cover is opened under its own weight and the content of the compartment falls out.
The purpose of the invention is to develop a lock free of the shortcoming of the above-mentioned solution.
This objective has been achieved by constructing a lock with latch component mounted in the cover in a way that enables its movement around the axis. The latch component is provided with a tooth and, near the axis of rotation, it has a blocking surface in a shape corresponding with the shape of the blocking mass. Near the blocking surface of the latch component there is blocking mass mounted in the cover in the rotational way. The blocking mass consists of, preferably, a disk mounted in the eccentric way on the axis of rotation, and when the armrest is placed in the passive position, the disk under its own weight moves to the contact position with the blocking surface of the latch component. The latch component, using its appropriately shaped concave surface, mates with the controlling lever connected with the push-button, and the controlling lever with the pushbutton is mounted in the body of the armrest.
It is the advantage of the solution constructed according to the invention that it prevents the accidental opening of the compartment when the armrest is in the passive
position, because the blocking mass prevents the controlling lever from displacing the latch component and releasing the tooth from the hole in the armrest body.
The object of the invention has been described in details in the example product in the drawing that presents the section of the compartment lock.
The compartment lock according to the invention consists of the latch component 2, situated in the cover I, provided with a tooth 3, which mates with a hole in the armrest body 4. The latch component 2 near the axis of rotation has a blocking surface 5. which mates with the blocking mass 6. The blocking mass 6 has a form of a disk mounted on the axis in a loose, eccentric way. In the body of the armrest 4, in its front part there is the push-button 7 connected with the controlling lever 8, whose end comes into contact with the appropriately shaped, concave surface of the latch component 2 situated near the tooth 3.
The functioning of the compartment lock according to the invention is as follows: When the armrest is placed in the working position, the compartment locking is done by pressing the cover 1, which makes the tooth 3 of the latch component 2 latch in the hole in the body of the armrest 4. Then, the blocking mass 6 is separated from the blocking surface 5 of the latch component 2. Opening the lock is done by pressing the push-button 7 whose controlling lever 8 mating with the concave surface of the latch component 2 moves the latch component 2 to the location in which the tooth 3 leaves the hole edge in the body of the armrest 4. When the armrest is in the passive position, the blocking mass 6, situated on the axis in the eccentric way, under its own weight carries out an angular shift towards the blocking surface 5 situated on the latch component 2, it comes into contact with the blocking surface 5 and precludes the displacement using the push-button 7 and the controlling lever of the latch component 2 connected with the button, so that the tooth 3 does not leave the hole edge in the body of the armrest 4.
Claims
1. The compartment lock consisting of latch lever, placed in the compartment cover, provided with a tooth, which mates with the hole in the body of the armrest, characterised by the fact that in the cover Q) it has a blocking mass (6) mounted on the axis in a rotational way near the axis of rotation of the latch component (2) provided with the blocking surface (5) formed in a way corresponding with shape of the blocking mass (6); moreover the latch component (2) has, near the tooth (3), a concave surface that mates with the controlling lever (8) connected with the push-button (7) situated in the body of the armrest (4).
2. The lock according to the claim 1, characterised by the fact that the blocking mass (5) is in a form of a disk that is mounted on the axis in the eccentric way.
