Abstract

A latch assembly comprises a two piece housing (62a', 62b'), a crank (72') within the housing for limited rotational movement therein, link members (80') connected to the crank and a pawl (94') connected to the link members where the pawl is selectively movable between latched and unlatched positions in response to rotational movement of the crank. The two piece housing includes opposing side walls, an end wall and mounting holes where the two piece housing forms a single integral housing by a sheet metal seam along the end wall of the housing.
