Abstract

L'invention se rapporte à un procédé de modélisation des taux de réponse du marché. Ledit procédé permet d'évaluer et de filtrer de longues listes de contacts dans le but d'atteindre deux objectifs. Ce procédé met en oeuvre une base de données d'expériences interne et une base de données démographiques externe, qui sont associées à des mécanismes de sélection de variables et à des techniques de modélisation non paramétriques. Ledit procédé comporte plusieurs étapes. Une première étape d'acquisition des données associe des variables descriptives à des clients potentiels. Une deuxième étape de sélection des variables permet d'identifier les variables descriptives de manière à identifier les clients potentiels qui sont les plus susceptibles de répondre au publipostage. Une troisième étape de sélection de modèle vise à analyser et à évaluer un ensemble d'algorithmes compétitifs, et permet de sélectionner l'algorithme qui peut prédire au mieux le taux de réponse. Une quatrième étape d'évaluation des paramètres permet d'obtenir la meilleure adéquation des données une fois qu'un algorithme a été choisi. Enfin, une étape de validation assure la résistance du processus de modélisation.The invention relates to a method of modeling market response rates. Said method makes it possible to evaluate and filter long lists of contacts in order to achieve two objectives. This method implements an internal experience database and an external demographic database, which are associated with variable selection mechanisms and non-parametric modeling techniques. Said method comprises several stages. A first step in data acquisition associates descriptive variables with potential customers. A second variable selection step identifies descriptive variables to identify potential customers who are most likely to respond to direct mail. A third model selection step aims to analyze and evaluate a set of competitive algorithms, and allows you to select the algorithm that can best predict the response rate. A fourth step in evaluating the parameters makes it possible to obtain the best data adequacy once an algorithm has been chosen. Finally, a validation step ensures the resistance of the modeling process.
