Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un système qui utilisent des taxonomies pour organiser et extraire des informations. Des documents stockés dans les sous-systèmes d'organisation et d'extraction peuvent être classés manuellement ou automatiquement en un nombre préétabli de taxonomies. Pendant le fonctionnement, un extracteur terminologique automatique établit une liste de termes indiquant la matière traitée dans les documents. Un système d'analyse terminologique attribue les termes pertinents à une ou plusieurs taxonomies, et un algorithme approprié est ensuite utilisé pour déterminer le rapprochement entre chaque liste de termes et la taxonomie qui lui est associée. Le système regroupe ensuite les documents pour chaque taxonomie, conformément aux poids attribué aux termes figurant dans la liste de la taxonomie, aux fins de créer un graphe acyclique orienté (DAG) ou une structure hiérearchique. Le procédé de l'invention peut ainsi être utilisé pour aider un chercheur ou un utilisateur à identifier rapidement des documents pertinents en réponse à une demande entrée.
