Abstract

The invention concerns a product consisting of several natural elements whereof some attract insects and stimulate their appetite and whereof one among them, slightly toxic, poisons them very gradually. The invention is characterised in that the boric acid dose is such that its action is cumulative at the level of the digestive tract. Said slow and gradual action is the main reason for the absence of the development of antibodies by the insect. Since boric acid is a mineral substance which does not deteriorate in time, its action is permanent owing to its consisting of natural elements; the inventive product is harmless for humans and does not affect the environment. So as to avoid the decomposition of the natural elements, a fungicidal product may be added to the finished product.
