Abstract

L'invention concerne un ensemble module airbag et un procédé de réglage des caractéristiques de gonflage dudit module, lequel comporte un système de gonflage produisant du gaz chaud (110). Le réglage consiste à placer et à conserver une quantité donnée de milieu refroidissant du gaz (140) dans une enceinte (122) externe au système de gonflage (110), en communication avec ledit système pour le gaz qui s'échappe. Ainsi, le gaz chaud qui s'échappe du système de gonflage (110) est en contact avec le milieu refroidissant (140), donnant un gaz de gonflage à une seconde température réduite, sensiblement inférieure à la première température.
