Abstract

A color sample display device and method of manufacture which employs a high speed foil stamping process to yield up to about 40,000 individual color sample display cards per hour. The method comprises the steps of: a) providing a multi-layer color transfer sheet; b) providing a color sample bearing card upon which the color samples are to be affixed; c) pressing the multi-layer color transfer sheet onto the color sample bearing means by means of a heated die such that the color samples are transferred from the multi-layer color transfer sheet to the color sample bearing card. Color sample display devices produced by the method of the invention can display a wide variety of color sample shapes, sheens and glosses and other special effects.
