  • the separation chamber 5 When the centrifugal separator is being started and the rotor is brought to rotate, the separation chamber 5 is closed by supplying a closing liquid to the closing chamber 7 through the inlet 8. As soon as the separation chamber 5 is closed the liquid mixture to be centrifugally treated can be supplied to the separation chamber 5 through the inlet conduit 15. When the rotor have reached the number of revolutions of operation and the separation chamber 5 has been filled up, the components contained in the liquid mixture are separated upon the influence of the centrifugal forces acting on the same. The separation is then mainly taking place in the interspaces between the separation discs in the stack 11 , to which interspaces the supplied liquid mixture is conducted via the distributing holes 18.
  • the liquid component of high density which has been accumulated at a radial outer portion of the separation 5, flows radially inwardly through the passage 26 into the discharge chamber 25. In this it forms a substantially cylindrical liquid body, which rotates with the rotor around the rotational axis. This liquid component is discharged under pressure out of this discharge chamber 25 via the outlet channels 28 in the discharge device 26, which is arranged in the discharge chamber 25.
  • accumulated sludge particles are thrown out intermittently through the outlet openings either in equal time intervals or when so much sludge particles has been accumulated that a satisfactory separation result no longer can be obtained.
  • the centrally accumulated specific light component flows into the discharge chamber 19 via the channel 22.
  • the flow can be equally distributed in the interspaces between the separation discs and the departing wall is at the same time able to give the stack a stable guide.

Abstract

L'invention porte sur un séparateur centrifuge doté d'un rotor et qui forme une chambre d'admission (13), une chambre de séparation (5) séparée de la chambre d'admission (13) par une paroi de délimitation (12), une chambre d'évacuation (19) qui communique avec la chambre de séparation (5). Dans la chambre de séparation (5) est placée une pile (11) de disques de séparation. Au centre, une partie de la paroi (12) s'étend dans la pile (11) radialement à l'intérieur des bords internes des disques de séparation. Pour pouvoir répartir l'écoulement de manière égale dans les espaces des disques de séparation, la chambre d'évacuation est formée par cette partie de la paroi de telle manière qu'elle (19) soit délimitée radialement à l'extérieur vers la chambre de séparation (5) par une section pratiquement cylindrique de cette partie de la paroi (12) et axialement par des première et seconde parois (20, 21) terminales annulaires qui s'étendent radialement à l'intérieur, espacées l'une de l'autre, à partir de la section cylindrique. La première paroi (20) terminale délimite la chambre d'évacuation (19) axialement par rapport à la chambre d'admission (13). La chambre d'évacuation (19) communique avec au moins un canal (22) qui possède un orifice d'admission, axialement à l'intérieur de la pile (11) de disques de séparation, et un orifice d'évacuation donnant dans la chambre d'évacuation.
