Abstract

The protection of the plastic damper used to dampen the vibration created at the bracket connection point of the compressor in the refrigerator, against the sharp edges of the bolt and the reduction of the noise are provided by mounting a sleeve with washer (3) with a cylindrical structure, made of a hard and resistant material other then metal, into the vibration damping rubber (4) during the installation of the compressor onto the refrigerator cabinet.

Description

SLEEVE WITH WASHER
The present invention relates to a sleeve with washer that protects the plastic damper used to dampen the vibration created at the bracket connection point of the compressor in the refrigerator, against the sharp edges of the bolt.
In typical compressor connections, a metallic sleeve is placed between the screw and the plastic in order to avoid any damages that the fastening screw may cause on the vibration damping plastic part. In this technique, the sleeve in the buffer rubber serves as a bearing and stopper for the bolt that is the actual fastening element. By means of this bearing, the rubber is prevented from wearing off by the bolt and more over the force is distributed homogeneously on a cylindrical surface. By using washers, this system provides the spreading of the force applied by the bolt head onto the rubber. The screw is tightened by the washer. It is not a cost-effective method.
The object of the present invention is to protect the plastic damper used to dampen the vibration created at the bracket connection point of the compressor in the refrigerator, against the sharp edges of the bolt and to reduce the noise by using a sleeve with washer
The sleeve with washer accβrding to the present invention is illustrated in the attached drawings, wherein;

The components shown in the drawings have the following numbers;
1- Compressor 2- Fastening bolt
3- Sleeve with washer
4- Vibration damping rubber
5- Washer 6- Bracket
7- Compressor mounting base
8- Bolt
9- Bolt head 10- Hole 11- Bearing
The sleeve with washer (3) has a cylindrical structure with a hole (10) through which the bolt (8) is inserted. The upper part of the sleeve with washer (3) has a larger diameter to hold the bolt head (9). The sleeve (5) placed on the upper surface of the bolt head (9) acts as a washer. The upper part is provided with a bearing (11) in which the bolt head (9) is inserted, in order to avoid the loosening occurring due to vibration.
A vibration damping rubber (4) is used to prevent the vibration and noise to occur at the bracket (6) connection of the refrigerator compressor (1), whereas the connection of the sleeve with washer (3) to the bracket, is provided by a bolt (8). The bolt (8) is fastened by passing it through the sleeve with washer (3) that is placed in the vibration damping rubber (4) to present any damages on the plastic damper.
Use of the sleeve with washer (3) as one-piece has reduced the production cost and provided an easy production and assembly. Furthermore, the noise that may occur when the washer and the sleeve are made of metal has been avoided by manufacturing the sleeve with washer from a hard and resistant material other then metal.

Claims

1. A sleeve with washer (3) made of a hard and resistant material other than metal, with a cylindrical structure providing its connection to the bracket (6) by means of a bolt (8), being placed in the vibration damping rubber (4) which prevents any damages on the plastic damper used to dampen the vibration created at the bracket connection point of the compressor in the refrigerator, characterized in that it includes a hole (10) through which the bolt (8) can pass, and a bearing (11) specially formed with a depth at the upper part in order to avoid the loosening occurring due to vibration and to insert the bolt head (9) inside.
2. A sleeve with washer (3) according to Claim 1, characterized in that the upper part of the sleeve with washer (3) is formed with a larger diameter to hold the bolt head (9).
3. A sleeve with washer (3) according to Claim 1 and 2, characterized by a bearing (11) specially formed with a depth at the upper part in order to insert the bolt head (9) inside.
