Abstract

A multi-functional cushion is disclosed in which the arm or leg of a sleeping person can be prevented from being pressed due to dislocations, and adults, children and infants can be prevented from being dislocated during the sleep. Further, any bodily inversion of an infant can be prevented during the sleep, thereby excluding any accident such as a stifling to death or the like. The multi-functional cushion includes a pair of cushions, and a connecting member for connecting the pair of the cushions. There is further included coupling members which are disposed on a side of the cushion and on an edge of the connecting member so as to make it possible to detachably couple the connecting member to the cushions.

Description

SPECIFICATION
TITLE OF THE INVENTION
MULTI-FUNCTIONAL CUSHION
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a cushion. Particularly, the present invention relates to a multi-functional cushion in which any body pressing feeling is alleviated to induce a comfortable sleep, and in which when an infant sleeps, any movements or dislocations can be prevented.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Generally, when a person sleeps, the person uses a pillow, so that a comfortable sleep can be realized. However, when a person sleeps, bodily dislocations occur, and therefore, local pressing may occur, with the result that the blood circulation is impeded. Consequently, the affected portion generates pain and stiffness.
Particularly, in a pregnant woman, if she sleeps in a side posture, the stomach may be severely pressed.
Further, a person whose body is frequently dislocated may mount his or her leg or arm to a person who sleeps adjacently, thereby impeding the sleep of the adjacently sleeping person.
Meanwhile, in the case of children whose bodies are frequently dislocated, accidents may occur.
That is, in the case where a child sleeps beside an adult, if the child's body is dislocated to under the body of the adult, and if the body of the adult is dislocated to over the child's body, then the child's arm or leg may be hurt, or the child may be stifled to death.
Further, usually an infant attempts body inversions in four months after the birth. At these times, the infant cannot strongly support the neck, and therefore, infants sometimes are stifled to death in the inverted posture. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention is intended to solve the above described problems.
Therefore it is an object of the present invention to provide a multi-functional cushion in which the arm or leg can be prevented from being pressed due to dislocations, and adults, children and infants can be prevented from being dislocated during the sleep.
It is another object of the present invention to provide a multi-functional cushion in which any bodily inversion of an infant can be prevented during the sleep, hereby excluding any accident such as a stifling to death or the like.
In achieving the above objects, the multi-functional cushion according to the present invention includes: a pair of cushions; and a connecting member for connecting the pair of the cushions.
The multi-functional cushion according to the present invention further includes: coupling members disposed on a side of the cushion and on an edge of the connecting member so as to make it possible to detachably couple the connecting member to the cushions.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS The above objects and other advantages of the present invention will become more apparent by describing in detail the preferred embodiment of the present invention with reference to the attached drawings in which:
FIG. 1 illustrates a preferred embodiment of the multi-functional cushion according to the present invention; FIGs. 2 and 3 illustrate the use of the multi-functional cushion according to the present invention; and
FIG. 4 illustrates another embodiment of the multi-functional cushion according to the present invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS FIG. 1 illustrates a preferred embodiment of the multi-functional cushion according to the present invention. As shown in this drawing, there are provided a pair of cushions 100 and 110, each having a length c and a height d A connecting member 120 which has a width b and a length a connects the two cushions 100 and 110 together The length and height of the cushions 100 and 110 and the length and width of the connecting member can be varied arbitrarily in accordance with the applications
The materials of the cushions 100 and 110 may be such that a soft material such as cotton or sponge may be stuffed into the interior, and the outside is covered with a cloth Or in summer seasons, a bamboo net (made of round or rectangular cleaved bamboo) may be used. The connecting member 120 may consists of a soft fabric, a blanket or a checkwork-stitched quilt
Meanwhile, the connecting member 120 may be sewed up to the cushions 100 and 110 Or the connecting member 120 may be detachably coupled to the cushions 100 and 110 by using a pair of coupling members 121 and 122 Under this condition the coupling members 121 and 122 may consist of zippers or buttons or magic fasteners
The coupling members 121 and 122 are respectively disposed on a side of each of the cushions 100 and 110 on the one hand, while they are also disposed on both of the side edges of the connecting member 120, so that the connecting member 120 can be detachably coupled to the cushions 100 and 110. That is, when carrying out a wash of the cushion of the present invention or when only one of the cushions 100 and 110 is separated to use it as a pillow or a support, the detachability of the cushions 100 and 110 is very convenient.
FIGs. 2 and 3 illustrate the use of the multi-functional cushion according to the present invention. That is, as shown in FIG 2, if a person lies on the connecting member 120 between the cushions 100 and 110, the cushions 100 and 110 cannot depart from the lying person owing to the connecting member 120
Accordingly, when a sleeping person dislocates his or her body, the arm or leg of the sleeping person can be mounted on either one of the cushions 100 and 110, and therefore, the comfort is ensured Further, any local pressing due to an overlapping does not occur. Similarly, in the case of infants and children, an infant or a child can lie with the cushions 100 and 110 disposed at the both sides, and therefore, his or her movements can be prevented during the sleep owing to the presence of the cushions 100 and 110, thereby preventing an accident. Further, an adult can be prevented from being moved toward an infant.
FIG. 3 illustrates another example of the use of the multi-functional cushion according to the present invention. In this example, one of the cushions 100 and 110 is used as the pillow, and another is used for mounting the legs. In this manner, the blood circulation is promoted, a comfortable sleep is ensured, and the legs are relieved of the exhaustion.
FIG. 4 illustrates another embodiment of the multi-functional cushion according to the present invention. Here, a pair of cushions are detachably coupled on a pad which has a certain width, by using a pair of coupling members. This will be described in detail below. A cushion 210 is coupled upon the pad 200. Under this condition, the cushion
210 is either fixedly coupled to the pad 200, or is detachably coupled to the pad 200 by using coupling members.
Meanwhile, another cushion 220 is coupled to near the other edge of the pad 200 by using coupling members 201 and 221. Similarly with the first embodiment, the coupling members 201 and 221 may consist of a zipper, buttons, or magic fasteners.
Under this condition, any one of the cushions 210 and 220 may be sewed up to the pad 200, while the other one may be detachably coupled.
Accordingly, if the cushions 210 and 220 are removed from the pad 200, then the pad 200 can be used for the general purposes. In the same way, the cushions 210 and 220 may be used as pillows.
If the assembled cushion is used, and for example, if an infant is laid between the cushions 210 and 220 and on the pad 200, the infant's body inversion is prevented owing to the presence of the cushions 210 and 220. Thus an accident such as a stifling to death can be prevented. Under this condition, the distance between the two cushions 210 and 220 should be preferably such that when the infant lies on side, the two cushions 210 and 220 should loosely fit to the chest and back of the infant.
According to the present invention as described above, when a dislocation occurs during a sleep, any pressing feeling due to an overlapping of an arm or leg can be eliminated, thereby ensuring a comfortable sleep. Further, when an infant, a child and an adult sleep, their movements can be prevented, thereby preventing any accident.
Further, infants can be prevented from lying on belly, and thus, a stifling to death can be prevented. Further, for a pregnant woman, the pressed feeling on the belly can be alleviated.
