Abstract

An application for viewing file statistical information is disclosed. An application user selects a file directory within a computer system to view file statistical information of files located therein. The application then extracts file statistical information, such as file version number or date of last modification, from each file in the user-selected file directory. Thereafter, the application concurrently displays to the user the extracted file statistical information corresponding to each file. In this way, the user is capable of quickly determining whether the files in the selected file directory are up-to-date.
