Description

WALL HANGER HOOK AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a wall hanger hook and a method for manufacturing the same, and more particularly, the present invention relates to a wall hanger hook which has a simple structure thereby being suited for mass production and allowing manufacturing cost and selling price to be reduced and to a method for manufacturing the same.
Background Art
Referring to FIGs . 1 and 2 , there are shown conventional wall hanger hooks which are used in a state wherein they are attached to a wall by driving fastening elements therethrough or by being adhesively bonded. The wall hanger hook as shown in FIG. 1 includes an attachment member 10 which is formed with a plurality of small-sized and a pair of large-sized holes 11, a hook member 12 both ends of which are detachably fitted into a pair of grooves, respectively, which are defined adjacent a lower end and on a rear surface of the attachment member 10, a plurality of fastening elements 13 which are driven through the plurality of small-sized holes 11 into a wall serving as a passively fastened body thereby to attach the attachment member 10 to the wall, and a cover member 14 which covers the attachment member 10 and is formed with a pair of projections 14a which in turn are fitted into the pair of large-sized holes 11, respectively.
Accordingly, by the fact that the attachment member 10 having the hook member 12 which is fitted therein, is attached to the wall by driving the plurality of fastening elements 13 therethrough into the wall , and the cover member 14 covers the attachment member 10, the wall hanger hook of FIG. 1 can be used.
On the contrary, the wall hanger hook as shown in FIG. 2 includes a hanger body 20 and a double-sided adhesive tape 21. The hanger body 20 is injection-molded and has a hook section 12 which is integrally formed therewith. The double-sided adhesive tape 21 has a front surface which is attached to a rear surface of the hanger body 20 and a rear surface which is covered by a removable adhesive baking 22.
Accordingly, by the fact that the removable adhesive baking 22 is removed and then, the double-sided adhesive tape 21 is bonded to a wall which serves as a passively fastened body, the wall hanger hook of FIG. 2 can be used. However, in the former case, while the wall hanger hook provides excellent attachment force to better sustain a load, due to the structure which is constituted by the attachment member 10, the hook member 12, the plurality of fastening elements 13 and the cover member 14, because the number of components is increased, productivity is deteriorated and inconvenience is caused when using the wall hanger hook. Moreover, since a number of components are needed, manufacturing cost and selling price cannot but be increased.
On the contrary, in the latter case, owing to the simple structure which is constituted by the hanger body 20 and the double-sided adhesive tape 21, the wall hanger hook can be easily used. However, the wall hanger hook of FIG. 2 still suffers from defects in that, since the hanger body 20 is injection-molded such that the hook section 12 is integrally formed therewith, cost for manufacturing the hanger body 20 is increased. Also, because the double-sided adhesive tape 21 must be manually attached to the rear surface of the hanger body 20 after being separately prepared to have the removable adhesive backing 22, productivity is deteriorated and thereby, as in the former case, manufacturing cost and selling price cannot but be increased. Further, due to the fact that the hanger body 20 is injection-molded such that the hook section 12 is integrally formed therewith, a thickness of the wall hanger hook is increased and accordingly, the wall hanger hook of FIG. 2 occupies larger volume when being packaged and stored.
Disclosure of the Invention
Accordingly, the present invention has been made in an effort to solve the problems occurring in the related art, and an object of the present invention is to provide a wall hanger hook which has a simple structure thereby being suited for mass production and allowing manufacturing cost and selling price to be reduced and to a method for manufacturing the same . Another object of the present invention is to provide a wall hanger hook which has a reduced thickness thereby occupying less volume when being packaged and stored and to a method for manufacturing the same.
In order to achieve the above objects, according to one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a wall hanger hook comprising: a hanger body having one surface on which an ornamental design is provided and a hole which is defined therein; a bonding medium having one surface which is at least partially attached to the one surface of the hanger body and the other surface which is covered by a removable adhesive backing; and a hook member having one end which is bent such that t passes through the hole defined in the hanger body thereby to be exposed to the outside, and the other end which is formed such that it cannot pass through the hole defined in the hanger body thereby to be supported around the hole by the hanger body.
According to another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a wall hanger hook comprising: a hanger body having one surface on which an ornamental design is provided and first and second holes which are defined therein in a longitudinal direction; a bonding medium having one surface which is attached to the hanger body at both sides of the first and second holes and the other surface which is covered by a removable adhesive backing; and a hook member having one end which is bent such that it sequentially passes through the first and second holes defined in the hanger body thereby to be exposed to the outside, and the other end which is formed such that it cannot pass through the first hole defined in the hanger body thereby to be supported around the first hole by the hanger body.
According to still another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a method for manufacturing a wall hanger hook, comprising the steps of: feeding a hanger body sheet having one surface on which an ornamental design is continuously provided, from a first roll around which the hanger body sheet is wound, and feeding a bonding medium sheet having one surface which is covered by a removable adhesive backing sheet, from a second roll around which the bonding medium sheet with the removable adhesive backing sheet is wound; passing the hanger body sheet and the bonding medium sheet with the removable adhesive backing sheet through a gap which is defined between a pair of squeezing rollers, thereby to bond the hanger body sheet and the other surface of the bonding medium sheet to each other; and cutting the hanger body sheet and the bonding medium sheet which are integrally bonded to each other, to a predetermined shape and size by using molds.

Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
Reference will now be made in greater detail to a preferred embodiment of the invention, an example of which is illustrated in the accompanying drawings. Wherever possible, the same reference numerals will be used throughout the drawings and the description to refer to the same or like parts .
Referring to FIG. 3, there is shown an exploded perspective view illustrating a wall hanger hook in accordance with a first embodiment of the present invention. As shown in FIG. 3, the wall hanger hook in accordance with the first embodiment of the present invention includes a hanger body 30 which defines a contour of the wall hanger hook and serves as a main body. The hanger body 30 has one surface on which an ornamental design is provided and a hole 30a which is defined therein. The hanger body 30 is made of synthetic resin having a substantial thickness, such as acryl resin, polyethylene, etc. , depending upon a function of the wall hanger hook.
A double-sided adhesive tape 31 is attached to a rear surface of the hanger body 30, and a removable adhesive backing 32 covers a rear surface of the double-sided adhesive tape 31. While the double-sided adhesive tape 31 can be attached to the hanger body 30 over the entire rear surface area, in this first embodiment of the present invention, the double-sided adhesive tape 31 is partially attached to the hanger body 30 over a predetermined rear surface area. On the other hand, a hook member 33 on which an article is to be hang, is passed through the hole 30a which is defined in the hanger body 30, to be securely supported by the hanger body 30 around the hole 30a. In other words, the hook member 33 has a lower end which is bent at an acute angle, and an upper end which is formed as an engaging portion 34 having an increased width such that it cannot pass through the hole 30a defined in the hanger body 30, thereby to be securely supported around the hole 30a by the hanger body 30.
Accordingly, by the fact that the lower end of the hook member 33 is passed through the hole 30a which is defined in the hanger body 30 and the double-sided adhesive tape 31 is attached to a wall as shown in FIG. 7, which serves as a passively fastened body, the wall hanger hook of FIG. 1 can be used.
Referring to FIG. 4, there is shown an exploded perspective view illustrating a wall hanger hook in accordance with a second embodiment of the present invention.
The wall hanger hook in accordance with the second embodiment of the present invention includes a hanger body 30. The hanger body 30 has one surface on which an ornamental design is provided. First and second holes 30b and 30c are defined in the hanger body 30 such that they are longitudinally arranged one above the other along a vertical center line while being separated by a predetermined distance.
A double-sided adhesive tape 31 is attached to a rear surface of the hanger body 30 at both sides of the first and second holes 30b and 30c. A removable adhesive backing 32 covers a rear surface of the double-sided adhesive backing 31.
On the other hand, a lower end of a hook member 33 is sequentially passed through the first and second holes 30b and 30c. As in the first embodiment of the present invention, the hook member 33 of this second embodiment has the lower end which is bent at an acute angle, and an upper end which is formed as an engaging portion 34 having an increased width such that it cannot pass through the first hole 30b defined in the hanger body 30, thereby to be securely supported around the first hole 30b by the hanger body 30.
That is to say, the lower end of the hook member 33 according to this second embodiment of the present invention is passed through the first hole 30b from front to rear and then through the second hole 30c from rear to front, thereby to be used in a state wherein it is exposed to the outside, as shown in FIG. 8. Hereinafter, methods for manufacturing the wall hanger hooks according to the first and second embodiments of the present invention, constructed as mentioned above, will be described in detail .
Referring to FIGs . 6 and 7 , there are shown structural views for explaining methods for manufacturing the wall hanger hooks in accordance with the first and second embodiments of the present invention.
First, a hanger body sheet 35 having one surface on which the ornamental design (not shown) is provided and the double-sided adhesive tape 31 having one surface which is covered by the removable adhesive backing 32, are continuously fed at the same speed from a first roll 41 around which the hanger body sheet 35 is wound and a second roll 42 around which the double-sided adhesive tape 31 is wound together with the removable adhesive backing 32, respectively. Then, the hanger body sheet 35 and the double-sided adhesive tape 31 with the removable adhesive backing 32 are passed through a gap which is defined between a pair of squeezing rollers 43. Therefore, while the hanger body sheet 35 and the double-sided adhesive tape 31 with the removable adhesive backing 32 are passed through the gap which is defined between the pair of squeezing rollers 43, the hanger body sheet 35 and the double-sided adhesive tape 31 with the removable adhesive backing 32 are brought into close contact with each other, and accordingly, the double-sided adhesive tape 31 is bonded to a center portion of a lower surface of the hanger body sheet 35 having the ornamental design provided thereon. At this time, the double-sided adhesive tape 31 is fed in a state wherein its lower surface is covered by the removable adhesive backing 32. As the hanger body sheet 35 and the double-sided adhesive tape 31 which is covered on one surface thereof by the removable adhesive backing 32 are fed in a state wherein they are bonded to each other as described above, a press 44 having upper and lower molds is actuated. According to this, the hanger body sheet 35 and the double-sided adhesive tape 31 with the removable adhesive backing 32 are cut to predetermined contours as shown in FIGs . 9 and 10 .
The hanger body 30 which is cut to the predetermined contour in a state wherein it is bonded with the double- sided adhesive tape 31, is separated from the hanger body sheet 35 by a manual operation or through an automated procedure. Thereupon, the hanger body 30 which is bonded to the double-sided adhesive tape 31 having the removable adhesive backing 32, is packaged on a commercial scale in a state wherein it is enveloped along with the hook member 33.
While it is not described in the above statements, at least one of the upper and lower molds which are provided to the press 44, has a sharp edge for cutting the hanger body sheet 35. At this time, by the fact that at least one of the upper and lower molds is constructed such that its height can be adjusted, it is possible to simultaneously cut the hanger body sheet 35 and the double-sided adhesive tape 31 with the removable adhesive backing 32 such that they have the same contour, or to cut only the hanger body sheet 35 and the double-sided adhesive tape 31 while leaving the removable adhesive backing 32 as it is.
As can be readily seen from the above statements, the present invention resolves a problem of the conventional art, which is induced by the fact that since the number of components is increased, productivity is deteriorated and inconvenience is caused when using a wall hanger hook of the conventional art.
Furthermore, the present invention copes with a problem of the conventional art, which is induced by the fact that since a number of components are needed, manufacturing cost and selling price cannot but be increased, and the wall hanger hook of the conventional art occupies larger volume when being packaged and stored.
Industrial Applicability
As described above, the present invention provides advantages in that since a wall hanger hook has a simple structure, it can be suited for mass production and thereby manufacturing cost and selling price can be reduced. In addition, because the wall hanger hook according to the present invention has a reduced thickness, it occupies less volume when being packaged and stored.
In the drawings and specification, there have been disclosed typical preferred embodiments of the invention and, although specific terms are employed, they are used in a generic and descriptive sense only and not for purposes of limitation, the scope of the invention being set forth in the following claims .
