Abstract
The device is intended to be applied in large tanks which contain inflammable products and are used in refineries and/or hydrocarbon plants in order to put out immediately a fire produced at the surface. The device includes a container (1) for the fire-resistant product, an envelope (6) of material which is not susceptible of being attacked by vapors or liquids, and an explosive charge capsule (9) from which are derived wicks (11) which, when ignited, will produce the activation of the explosive charge of the capsule (9) and the corresponding dispersion of the fire-resistant product, fire-retardant agent or fire extinguisher, from the container (1), the latter being comprised of two metal plates or discs (2) which have been rigidified in parallel to each other by means of spacing rods (3) and being provided with radial baffles plates (4) which are intended to disperse the flame-proofing product by projecting it to the sides to maximize the efficiency in fire extinguishing operations.

DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA INVENCIÓNDESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
La invención se refiere a un dispositivo basado en el descrito al final del apartado anteriormente comentado, pero con una serie de particularidades que derivan en otras tantas ventajas, tanto desde el punto de vista estructural como desde el punto de vista de eficacia en su función. En tal sentido, el dispositivo objeto de la invención se caracteriza porque el correspondiente contenedor para el producto ignifugante está determinado a partir de una pareja de discos o placas metálicas, paralelas y distanciadas entre sí, unidas mediante varillas distancia- doras y fijadas entre ellas una pluralidad de placas metálicas en disposición radial, formando deflectores que, en el momento de la explosión, van a dar lugar a que el producto ignifugante se proyecte lateral y horizontalmente, y no hacia arriba como ocurre tradicionalmente. Ese cuerpo metálico formado por los discos o placas, las varillas distanciadoras y los deflectores, se complementa con una envolvente de poliéster o cualquier otro material que no sea agredido por vapores o líquidos, envolvente que cuenta con una base cerrada (correspondiendo a la considerada como superior), y otra abierta que se cierra mediante una tapa adecuada, de manera que ésta queda solidarizada a su vez a una placa inferior de considerable mayor amplitud y elevado grosor determinando un flotador del dispositivo. También puede estar dicha envolvente formada por un recipiente cerrado, de la forma, características y materiales necesarios para cada caso. Tanto el disco o placa superior como la base correspondiente de la envolvente de poliéster están afectados de sendos orificios para permitir la carga o introducción del producto ignifugante al interior del contenedor, a la vez de que esos orificios constituyen un

A la vista de las comentadas figuras, puede observarse cómo el dispositivo de la invención comprende un contenedor 1 para el producto extintor o ignifugante, cuyo contenedor está formado a partir de una pareja de discos o placas 2 dispuestas paralelamente y separadas como se ve claramente en la figura 1, quedando solidarizadas entre sí mediante una serie de varillas distanciadoras 3 y una pluralidad de chapas o placas radiales 4 determinantes de deflectores, estando afectadas de unos orificios o aberturas 5 para conseguir un aligeramiento en peso así como una perfecta dispersión del producto, ya que tanto los discos o placas 2 como las varillas 3 y las propias placas deflectoras 4 son metálicas. Ese cuerpo contenedor 1 se complementa con una envolvente de poliéster 6 u otro material adecuado, con una de sus bases cerrada y la otra abierta, pero con una tapa inferior de cierre 7, formando siempre un conjunto cerrado, de manera que tanto el disco o placa superior 2 del contenedor 1 como la base superior de esa envolvente 6 cuentan con un orificio 8 a través del cual se realiza la carga o introducción del producto ignifugante, para llenar la totalidad del contenedor 1, así como para introducir y mantener posicionada una cápsula 9 constitutiva de la carga explosiva, fijándose en el orificio 8 del disco o placa 2 del cuerpo contenedor 1 mediante cualquier tipo de medio adecuado (como puede ser un tramo roscado con la correspondiente tuerca de apriete 10). REIVINDICACIONES 1.- DISPOSITIVO PARA LA EXTINCIÓN DE INCENDIOS EN INSTALACIONES DE HIDROCARBUROS, que estando previsto para su aplicación preferentemente en el apagado de incendios que se originan sobre la superficie de un volumen de hidrocarburo o producto inflamable contenido en un gran depósito y utilizado en refinerías y/o plantas de hidrocarburos, constituyendo el dispositivo en su conjunto un cuerpo flotante para mantenerse sobre la superficie del producto inflamable, y comprendiendo un contenedor del producto ignifugante o agente extintor susceptible de explosionar y ser esparcido sobre la superficie del producto inflamable sobre el que se ha iniciado un incendio, siendo el producto ignifugante activado mediante una carga explosiva conectada a unas mechas externas cuya ignición se inicia con la llama del supuesto incendio, se caracteriza porque el contenedor (1) del producto ignifugante está determinado por una pareja de discos metálicos o placas (2) dispuestas paralela y distanciadamente entre sí, y una serie de chapas deflectoras (4) intercaladas radialmente entre aquéllas, todo ello en orden a conseguir el esparcido o dispersión hacia los lados del producto ignifugante, cuando se produce la explosión, complementándose dicho contenedor metálico (1) con una envolvente de poliéster (6), o cualquier otro material que no sea agredido por vapores o líquidos, vinculada a una base o placa inferior (14) del mismo material y mayor contorno, determinando un medio de flotación para el dispositivo.CLAIMS 1.- FIRE EXTINGUISHING DEVICE IN HYDROCARBON FACILITIES, which is intended for application preferably in the extinguishing of fires that originate on the surface of a volume of hydrocarbon or flammable product contained in a large tank and used in refineries and / or hydrocarbon plants, the device as a whole constituting a floating body to be maintained on the surface of the flammable product, and comprising a container of the flame retardant product or extinguishing agent capable of exploding and being scattered on the surface of the flammable product on which A fire has started, the ignifugante product being activated by means of an explosive charge connected to external wicks whose ignition starts with the flame of the supposed fire, it is characterized in that the container (1) of the fire retardant product is determined by a pair of metal discs or plates (2) arranged parallel and distantly from each other, and a series of baffle plates (4) intercalated radially between them, all in order to achieve spreading or dispersion towards the sides of the flame retardant product, when the explosion occurs, said metal container (1) being complemented with a polyester envelope (6), or any other material that is not attacked by vapors or liquids, linked to a base or lower plate (14) of the same material and greater contour, determining a float means for the device.
2.- DISPOSITIVO PARA LA EXTINCIÓN DE INCENDIOS EN INSTALACIONES DE HIDROCARBUROS, según reivindicación 1, caracterizado porque el disco o placa superior (2) del contenedor (1) y la base superior de la envolvente (6), están afectados de un orificio (8) para la introducción del producto ignifugante y para el paso y ubicación de una cápsula (9) determinante de la correspondiente carga explosiva, de la cual emergen las correspondientes mechas de ignición (11) al contacto con el fuego, mechas que se encuentran sujetas externamente a través de elementos convencionales (12) previstos en la parte superior o base de la envolvente (6).2.
