Description

Lagerschale und Kugelgelenk mit einer solchen Lagerschale Bearing shell and ball joint with such a bearing shell
The present invention relates to a bearing shell according to the preamble of claim 1 and a ball joint with such a bearing shell according to the preamble of claim 10.
Such a bearing shell and a ball joint with such a bearing shell is known from WO 98/15746. There, the ball is inserted into the recess of the ball joint housing which is larger than the ball and is fixed in position by mechanical means, and the free space formed is then filled with filler material by an injection process. The space above the ball and part of the ball pin are then filled with a covering which forms a seal and is made of a crosslinked and / or uncrosslinked elastomer. Here, the mold used must be adapted to the shapes of the ball joint housing and the ball pin. Different special molding tools must therefore be created for different ball joint dimensions or ball joint shapes. The advantage of this known solution is that the separate manufacture and storage of the sleeves or bellows and the locking or spiral spring washers is eliminated, since the plastic of the casing extends into the groove when it is formed and connects to the material of the ball joint housing in a form-fitting manner. The object of the present invention is to simplify the production of a ball joint even more and to make it even more cost-effective.
This is to be made possible in particular by the fact that the bond between the bearing shell and the sealing sleeve can be produced in one possible mold.
The problem of the bond between the bearing shell and the sealing sleeve is solved by the features of claim 1 and the simple manufacture of the ball joint by the features of claim 10.
The connection between the bearing shell and the sealing sleeve is produced by the 2K process known per se. In this case, two plastics of different types are injected one after the other in a mold and the parts molded from the two plastics are simultaneously connected to one another in a material and / or form-fitting manner. This composite part can be spread by the inventive division of the bearing shell into individual bearing shell segments at the pole, so that the ball pin can be inserted and the ball can be snapped into the bearing shell. At the same time, the sealing sleeve seals against the ball stud. This composite unit can be used to form different types of ball joints with, for example, different ball joint housings or the like.
Fig. 4 einen Teil des Kugelgelenks gemäß dem Schnitt II-II der Fig. 1.4 shows a part of the ball joint according to section II-II of FIG. 1.
A bearing shell 5 snapped onto a ball 4 is provided in a recess 3 of the ball joint housing 2 at a distance from its inner wall 3.1. On the edge 5.1 of the bearing shell 5 facing the ball stud 6, a sealing sleeve 7 is integrally and / or positively formed by an injection or pressing process. The bearing shell 5 consists of a sprayable and / or pressable material which has good sliding properties, preferably of polyoxymethylene (POM).
According to the invention, the bearing shell 5 is divided by one or more slots 8, which extends from the upper edge 5.1 to the pole 5.2 of the bearing shell 5 or extend into at least two bearing shell segments 5.3 that are completely separate from one another. The individual adjacent bearing shell segments 5.3 are connected to one another at the edge 5.1 only by the molded-on, in particular injection-molded sealing sleeve 7 made of an elastic material, such as a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE). In particular, a linear polyurethane elastomer (TPU) can be used. As a result, the bearing shell segments 5.1 can be spread outward from the pole 5.2. Accordingly, when the bearing shell segments 5.3 are spread apart, the ball pin 6 can be inserted through the open pole 5.2 into the sealing collar 7 until the ball 4 snaps into the bearing shell 5 when the bearing shell segments 5.3 close. This unit of ball 4 with ball pin 6 and sealing sleeve 7 with bearing shell 5 is inserted into the recess 3 of a ball joint housing 2 and is firmly anchored in the ball joint housing 2 by introducing filler material 9 into the space 3.2 between the bearing shell 5 and the inner wall 3.1. A solid plastic is used as the filling material, in particular made of or based on a thermoplastic or thermoset. The filling material 9 can preferably be mixed in a manner known per se with substances which increase the strength of the filling material.
In order to be able to introduce the filling material 9 cheaply, in particular by a spraying process on the pole 5.2, a pole cap 5.4 is formed on a bearing shell segment 5.3, which covers a region of the pole 5.2. Correspondingly, the remaining bearing shell segments 5.3 in the area of the pole cap 5.4 are shortened in such a way that, except for the fact that a small gap 10 remains, they reach as far as the pole cap 5.2. When the filling material is injected, it hits the polar cap 5.2 and is thus better distributed. In addition, it is prevented by the injection pressure that a bearing shell segment 5.3 can stand out from the ball surface and filler material 9 penetrates between the ball 4 and the bearing shell 5. For easy insertion and centering and, if necessary, also for fixing the bearing shell 5 in the recess 3, a plurality of laterally projecting lugs 5.6 are formed on the outer surface 5.5 distributed over the circumference. These lugs 5.6 are preferably located in the area of the equator 11 of the bearing shell 5 or the ball 4. These lugs 5.6 center the bearing shell 5 when they are inserted into the recess 3. They can rest loosely on the inner wall 3.1, or in particular under tension, and so on Hold the unit in the recess 3. This simplifies the molding process for filling the filling material 9, since no special holding and fixing means are required. Advantageously, the lugs 5.6 can be provided exclusively or additionally on the edge 8.1 of a slot 8, as shown in the drawing in FIG. 3. In Fig. 3, the section line of section plane II of Fig. 1 is shown at 12.
Advantageously, the edge 5.1 of the bearing shell 5 projects completely or at least in sections beyond the outer diameter 7.1 of the sealing collar 7. As a result, the latter can rest against a stop 3.3 when inserted into the recess 3 and both limit the insertion depth and promote fixation.
The ball joint housing 2 advantageously has a wall part 2.1 projecting beyond the pole 5.2 of the bearing shell 5. This wall part 2.1 is flanged inwards after inserting the unit consisting of ball 4 with ball stud 6 and bearing shell 5 with sealing collar 7 and then the free space 3.2 is filled with the filling material 9.
