Abstract

A clip is disposed on the front portion of a portable telecommunication instrument in a spaced-overlying relationship with a sound transmission opening communicating with a speaker or microphone internally disposed in the instrument. The clip has an aperture extending through the clip and is aligned with the sound transmission opening. The clip may be integrally formed with the front portion of the instrument, or alternatively, detachably connected to the front portion of the instrument.
