Abstract

L'invention concerne une technique mise en oeuvre par des moyens informatiques, y compris le traitement de bases de données, utilisée pour identifier les patients souffrant de diabète qui présentent des risques, les informations sur ces patients figurant dans une base de données de déclarations. La technique consiste à traiter les informations relatives aux patients pour trouver et extraire des informations sur les déclarations pour un groupe donné de patients souffrant de diabète. En utilisant les informations ainsi extraites, on définit un ensemble d'événements se rapportant au diabète. On traite ensuite les informations extraites ainsi que l'ensemble d'événements pour créer des informations à niveaux qui se rapportent aux événements, organisées en rapport avec les événements plutôt qu'avec les déclarations. On définit une fenêtre temporelle pour obtenir une tranche de temps sur la base de laquelle on peut juger de l'utilité de prendre en considération les événements lors d'un traitement ultérieur puis on définit un ensemble de variables qui constituent des paramètres de prévision d'issues négatives sur le plan de la santé. Par la suite, on traite les informations à niveaux qui se rapportent aux événements en utilisant la fenêtre temporelle et l'ensemble de variables pour générer un fichier d'analyse. On applique à ce fichier d'analyse un précédé statistique tel que l'analyse de régression logistique afin de générer un modèle de prévisions, ledit modèle se présentant comme une fonction d'un sous-ensemble faisant partie d'un ensemble de variables. Enfin, on applique le modèle de prévision à la même base de données de déclarations ou à une autre base de données pour identifier et faire sortir les patients avec un diagnostic de diabète qui présentent des risques et qui sont susceptibles d'avoir des issues négatives sur le plan de la santé.
