Description
Comb for electrical stimulation
BACKGROUND TO THE INVENTION
The invention provides a comb for electrical stimulation using a well-known way of stimulation through electrical impulses.
There already exists a device and a procedure of electrical stimulation, described in the invention No 1665804, which has the form of an apparatus with a handle, that consists of an internal system generating impulses and an external casing - built-in electrical contact in the shape of a metallic electrode for the stimulation of selected parts of the human body and in the same way for supplying a therapeutic treatment - according to the method described in the above mentioned patent.
This device is not suitable for the electrical stimulation of the skin of the part of a human head that is covered with hair. As it has proved when treated by electrical stimulation hair regenerates itself causing growth of hair - which is very important for people subject to balding.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The above mentioned problem can be solved by a comb for electrical stimulation.
According to the features of this invention, it is characterised by a casing with a handle permanently attached to a clamping ring which has a built-in mounting unit with a series
of electrodes situated beneficially in series inside the unit. The mounting unit is connected electrically beneficially through an electrical cable, which is connected inside the casing with a system that generates the required impulses for the electrical stimulation. Furthermore the solution, according to the invention, is characterised by the fact that the electrodes have the shape of metal pins seated advantageously rotationally and slidably in the mounting unit which is made of electrically conducting material. One version of its implementation is characterised by the fact that the electrical unit is built-in inside the handle, and in another version of the implementation the electrical cable, connected with the mounting unit, is run on the outside of the handle in the form of an electrical, insulated cable, adapted for a plug connection with the mentioned electrical device generating electrical impulses for the purpose of electrical stimulation.
The comb for electrical stimulation is characterised by simple construction, which enables people, especially the ones susceptible to balding, to massage the skin with electrical impulses. This stimulates blood circulation and in the same way improves the nourishment of hair roots. The design of the comb, according to the relevant features of this invention, can be implemented in several versions, i.e. by placing the impulse generating electrical system in the handle, which causes the comb to be wireless, or by adapting it to a plug connection with the mentioned electrical device generating the required impulses. The placement of electrodes - metal pins - in the mounting unit in a rotary and slidable way allows the electrical stimulation to be accompanied with a soft skin massage which also significantly influences the restrain of the process of balding.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWING
The invention is shown as an exemplary implementation in a diagrammatic figure, in an end view, with a partial longitudinal section through a part of the casing with the mounting unit and with the electrodes attached inside it.
DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS
A comb for electrical stimulation, according to the invention shown on the drawing as an exemplary implementation, is a portable device adapted for manual holding. Its casing 1 has got a handle 2, which, together with the clamping ring 3^ creates one unit, in which the mounting unit 4 is built-in. In this unit there are electrodes 5 - metal pins 5 - seated in a series. The pins 5 are rotationally and slidably seated in the holes 6 of the mounting unit 4 and the slide down is limited in every pin 5^ by a round offset in the upper part of the pins 7. The bottom parts of the pins 5_ are rounded. The mounting unit 4 is electrically connected by a cable 8 with the electrical device 9 generating electrical impulses for electrical stimulation which is built-in in the handle 2.
In a different implementation - also shown in a diagrammatic drawing - the electrical cable 8 is run on the outside of the handle and ended with a plug 10 which is adapted for connecting with an external electrical device 9 generating electrical impulses. In the first version, with the electrical device 9 built-in in the handle 2, the comb is equipped with a switch for switching the electrical device 9 on and off and with a battery feed system, which, being an obvious and well known solution, is not presented in the drawing.
The operating of the comb for electrical stimulation is based on its slow movement along human head, so that the electrodes 5 touch the skin which is at the same time treated with electrical impulses described in patent PL 165804.
